Author's Comments

Based off Matt Miller's player rankings.

1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
LT locked down for the long term. KC even has enough cap space to franchise Albert and slide him inside
2 - JAX: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Center piece for Gus Bradley's new D
3 - OAK: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Oakland needs a pass rush
4 - PHI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Even if Peters comes back healthy the selection of Fisher will allow Herremans to slide back inside and drastically improve the OLine
5 - DET: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Another 1st round wideout probably isnt what DET fans want to see but Patterson has MAJOR upside
6 - CLE: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Just a guess but I could see Chud wanting to bring in his own guy and Geno has a big arm, comparably to his former protege Cam Newton.
7 - ARI: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
ARI hasnt had a premier pass rusher in forever
8 - BUF: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Jones will be a fit and a need in whatever scheme BUF decides to run
9 - NYJ: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Cupboard is bare at OLB for the Jets
10 - TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Major talent fills a major need
11 - SD: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
SD needs to find a LT to help Rivers from going mental
12 - MIA: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Wake is one of the best in the league but MIA needs more from the rest of its DE's
13 - TB: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
Fills a need next to McCoy
14 - CAR: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
Secondary for CAR needs talent
15 - NO: Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State
Cant see him going this high due to a late season ACL injury but Im staying true to Miller's rankings
16 - STL: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
Would compliment Brockers very well and allow Langford be more effective in a backup role
17 - PIT: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Unlikely the 1st corner goes off the board this late but again Im staying true to Millers rankings
18 - DAL: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Great fit opposite Ware
19 - NYG: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Major need for the Giants. Im a big fan of Rich and cant see him lasting this long
20 - CHI: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
With no capable LT's around and Tillman and Jennings getting long in the tooth Trufant would be a great pickup
21 - CIN: Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas State
Talent is needed at LB for CIN. Brown has sideline to sideline speed and a knack for the big play. I see Burfict sliding in to Mike and Brown to Will.
22 - STL: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International
Big riser from the senior bowl gives STL another young and talented player to add to their secondary
23 - MIN: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Need a replacement for Winfield
24 - IND: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
Need some young pass rushing talent
25 - SEA: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
RT can be upgraded and Fluker has a lot of promise. Not sure of the fit in their ZBS
26 - GB: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
Great player fills a need
27 - HOU: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
Daniels is on the wrong side of 30 and two TE would be a good look for the run 1st Texans
28 - DEN: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Capable of playing OG or OC. They need to keep Mannings jersey clean
29 - NE: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
Brings a lot Welker like qualities and even if they bring back Wes, NE can afford to have both on the field with the size of Gronk and Hernandez
30 - ATL: Dallas Thomas, OT, Tennessee
Capable of playing OT but I like him better at OG
31 - SF: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Cant fathom him lasting this long if his medical checks out but SF sure would be happy if he did.
32 - BAL: Eric Reid, FS, LSU
Reed says he's coming back but even if he does BAL needs a replacement for the next season
