Average Rank: 3.0 out of 5 (4 votes) -- Rank This Mock Draft
1 - KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
One of the most unpredictable first overall picks to make. Yes, KC needs a QB desperately, but I'm not completely sold on him being the answer just yet. I really believe that KC wants to trade this pick away rather than punch themselves about who to take. The big question is who is interested in business with them, and what do they have to offer?

2 - JAX: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Houston's JJ Watt had more sacks on his own than the entire Jax defense last season.

3 - OAK: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
OAK finished 28th in rushing last season. Mostly because Darren McFadden was fighting more injuries; however, Oak has introduced most of us to Marcel Reese who ran pretty solid for a registered Fullback (I had to play against him in fantasy twice last year and he really punched me in the gut). The Raiders need more protection for a vulnerable, injury prone McFadden.

4 - PHI: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
With Philly resigning Vick to a one yer deal, I doubt the Eagles will draft Geno Smith 4th if KC passes on him. At least I think it would be too risky. They are moving to a 3-4 defense and have no Nose Tackle.

5 - DET: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
DET has a spot open after cutting Kyle Vaden Bosch; but with the pool of talent on the line in this year's draft, it's hard to say who. Mingo showed he can dominate the pass rush in college and has potential to add to his numbers in a more pass happy NFL.

6 - CLE: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
There are articles swirling around that Jones' medical condition is worsening after inspections at the Combine. Jarvis' spinal stenosis shouldn't be too much of a concern, because he never missed any time due to it at UG. I'll wait for more information on his health as the draft nears; but for now Cleveland needs a fresh talent to help sack leader Jabaal Sheard since Juqua Parker-Thomas is 35 and a FA. The Browns also have a knack for drafting SEC, lately. (Richardson, Green, Haden)

7 - ARI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
I didn't think it could get any worse than CHI's Offensive Line, but Arizona proved otherwise. The Cardinals gave up 58 sacks last season. They would be foolish to pass on signing a tackle or guard this offseason.

8 - BUF: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
I believe that either Nassib or Mike Gleenon will still be available in round 2, so Buffalo can work on their receiving core. Patterson was a stand out on both offense and special teams while being the first player in NCAA history to score in 4-different ways. Two birds, one stone.

9 - NYJ: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Who is supposed to be a late round pick may get chosen in the top 10. NY had a below average 30 sacks last season and ranked 31st in passing defense. Jordan is probably going to be a pure pass rusher at the top level of the game and is a good start to a struggling Jet's defense.

10 - TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Tennessee needs to address the O-line for Chris Johnson to get back to star form; otherwise, he'll just continue to lay down for opponents.

11 - SD: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
SD is right in the middle of of the league in passing defense; but they gave up 28 touchdowns to opponent's QBs, and being in the AFC West, that's ridiculous.

12 - MIA: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
Expect Miami to pursue Gennings or maybe Welker in the offseason to address the WR issues. Outside the top 10, Sharrif Floyd is the best DT available and he has a history of playing in state football.

13 - TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
I've been pleading that the Bucs draft a CB for almost five years now. Ronde Barber is a season or less away from retirement, and EJ Biggers is absolutely terrible at defending anyone. The Eric Wright 5 year, $37.5 million contract is off to a bad start after he only played half of his games last season until he was suspended. Draft a CB! I don't care who!

14 - CAR: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Carolina needs 2 DT and has the potential to resign one. A second option is taking Kenny Vaccaro at Safety.

15 - NO: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
The Saints need a pass rusher for Rob Ryan's new defense. A possible second option would be drafting Desmond Trufant at DB to compete with Elbert Mack for the starting job.

16 - STL: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
If Vaccaro is still on the board come St Louis' time, he is the best Safety in the draft and will surely be gone come round 2. A competitive Rams squad was great at the rush, but they were beat deep more times than they should've been

17 - PIT: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
Pittsburgh is a tough team to pick for with so many issues on an aged defense. Polamalu has been banged up for the past 2 seasons so the Safety position is a factor. Plus linebacker James Harrison is 34.

18 - DAL: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
The Cowboys need help on the O-line and Lane Johnson is a first round pick from 1 state over.

19 - NYG: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
GM Jerry Reese believes the linebacker core needs to "improve." Chase Blackburn and Keith Rivers are both free agents and Michael Boley was recently cut.

20 - CHI: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
Jay Cutler needs an escape, short toss receiver to pitch to when under pressure. Brandon Marshall has too much weight on his shoulders.

21 - CIN: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
On a talent scale, Manti Te'o is a first rounder, hands down. With the drama that unfolded involving him this offseason, his character is in question with a lot of people. But come on, as Cincinnati really judged any of their signings based on character?

22 - STL: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
The Rams need some push at wide receiver next year. No one yet has shown they can be the number 1 guy for Sam Bradford.

23 - MIN: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Look for Keenan Allen or DeAndre Hopkins going to MIN at 23rd, both are explosive receivers that the Vikings need.

24 - IND: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Vonte Davis is all they have. They might could look into another DE to replace Freeney, but it depends on who is available by then.

25 - SEA: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
Jesse Williams would be a brilliant interior pass rush to an already excellent Seattle defense.

26 - GB: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
Eddie Lacy is the top RB in the draft and after watching him week in, and week out, I believe it. GB signed Cedric Benson last offseason but fell short of a complete deal after he left the season with an injury. The Packers need a power back for goal line stands and Lacy has even proven he can get 100+ yards a game.

27 - HOU: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
I wasn't sure who they needed more: Jon Cooper or DJ Fluker out of Alabama. One is a valuable pass blocker, while the other is a great asset to run blocking. Cooper started all four years at UNC and is a skilled pass blocker for Schaub

28 - DEN: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
Manning will most likely recruit Dwight Freeney to Denver. The Broncos have two DTs entering the market.

29 - NE: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
NE's pass coverage is either in prison, been in prison, injured, or hitting the FA market. Dee Milliner is a big steal for them if he falls all the way to 29th, considering he might be the top DB in the draft. He's coming off shoulder surgery so it's possible.

30 - ATL: John Simon, DE, Ohio State
John Simon could be the darkest of the horses in this years draft. He was the BIG 10 defensive player of the year and led the conference with 9 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss in 2012. ATL released Ray Edwards earlier in the season so the void must be addressed.

32 - BAL: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
Ed Reed is likely to take his talents elsewhere this offseason. Matt Elam signed with Florida as a highly regarded prep prospect.
