Trade: Seahawks get Percy Harvin, and Vikings get 2013 1st Round Pick (possibly others).

Trade: Browns and Bills flop round one picks; Browns get round 2 (#41) pick, and future compensation (next year 2014).

Trade: Jets get round 1 and round 6 pick from Baltimore, and Ravens get Revis.

1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
The Chiefs had addressed defensive lineman issues by getting DeVito. This is a deep DL class so I think they will get Joeckel to play RT and let Albert Waker after this year and slide him to LT. Look for a DT later in the 2-4 rounds.
2 - JAX: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
Bradley is looking for athletes at all positions (similar to Carroll in SEA). He starts building inside out with Floyd and athletic pass rusher, and run stuffer. He is a 3 down lineman, and a great leader. He starts off the Bradley era with a bang and will help them build for the future.
3 - OAK: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
The draft is all about smoke screens. The Raiders know they have more needs and holes to fill than QB. They drafted Pryor and are letting him develop. They have Palmer, and unless they let him go, I do not believe Smith is the right fit at this selection.
4 - PHI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
The Eagles are also putting up a screen of some sort, and will take a future LT to run the spread, no huddle offense. Fisher is big, athletic, and long. He played in the spread, and was a former TE heading from HS to College. An athlete at LT is always a high draft choice. Solid, not flashy, but solid pick here.
5 - DET: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
I believe Detroit will upgrade their pass defense. In this case, instead of a DB they go DE. An athletic FREAK, and solid pass rusher, the Lions get even younger, and better at the DL position. They have loaded up the interior and now will concentrate on building the edge pressure. Dee Milliner is another good option here.
6 - BUF: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
(Trade with Browns). After letting go of Fitzpatrick, it was inevitable that the new face of the franchise was Geno Smith. They signed Manny Lawson as an OLB opposite Williams, and will look to add a WR here soon if they can. Smith will be the QB of the future. They flopped round 1 picks, and gave Browns a round 2 pick they didn't have before (future compensation considered as well.
7 - ARI: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
They have one stud DB already. Now, they have two. In this league you need two top flight corners and they have them. One happens to be a returner as well, but this one is pure man coverage, pure physicality and will play with any receiver. Good addition here, no lineman yet worth grabbing.
8 - CLE: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
The Browns may use their acquired round 2 pick to get Mallet from the Patriots. If so, they will take a WR to help him out right away. Patterson is a raw talent, and I believe he will be given the #1 role in this offense. Cribbs is gone, so as a playmaker they need someone. Adding a vertical threat to a good running game only helps.
9 - NYJ: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Warmack is the breed of OG that Ryan loves. He is physical, can run, and explosive. He can pull in this offense, and help up front give Sanchez or Garrard time. Regardless of their choice here, they need to improve up front on both sides. A flashy WR won't help much if they cannot get someone to protect the QB.
10 - TEN: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Titans just signed Andy Levitre. That is a major bonus. However, you need another guard and their offensive line was so abismal last year it would only serve due diligence to make sure they got another one. Here they do. Cooper is athletic and strong. He is a good pass blocker and one of the most athletic OL to come out in this draft. Look for the Titans to give CJ and Locker some help by making another great pick up with Cooper and Levitre manning the inside on the OL.
11 - SD: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Originally I had Mingo going to the Steelers, but Im not sure anymore how far he will fall. Pass rushers are a premium in this league and he can play either 4-3 or 3-4. He is a great edge rusher, with quickness and ability to tighten the corner on QBs. Shaun Philips is gone and the Chargers need to retool their defense a little.
12 - MIA: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Dolphins have stock piled this year and are making an attempt to run at the AFC East title and playoffs. They are not waiting around. Another option here is Jarvis Jones an OLB to play opposite Cameron Wake. However, I think they can get a good one in round 2-3. Richardson provides depth and explosiveness inside and will help change and already youthful interior. This is a solid pick, but they could go DB here as well.
13 - TB: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
The Buc's have said NO, to giving up their round 1 pick for Revis, possibly a round 2? Im not sure the Jets will get what they want, its better to get a potential cancer cut out now, than later. TB still gets a DB, and a younger one at that here with this selection.
14 - CAR: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Last year the Panthers were confident in their interior line play. This year, not so much. To bolster that they take a phenomenal athlete that has fallen only because of health concerns. Those concerns, I believe will soon fade away and he will be a top 15 pick. Panther grab a good DL, who can play all 3 downs and be disruptive up front. Good selection here.
15 - NO: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
I had NO taking an OLB to help their defense, however they allowed Jermon Bushrod to walk in Free Agency and need an athletic OT to help cover Bree's backside. This might be a good fit. I think Johnson should start at RT and eventually make the switch, but at least Brees will be upright this year - or more often.
16 - STL: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Allen has been projected for me very high. He has fallen a little bit but to a high quality team. Rams are rumored to want Welker, which would be a great slot guy. Gibson is seeking employment elsewhere and the Rams just signed Jared Cook. This would be a great compliment for Bradford on the outside. A solid, sure handed receiver that, at times, has big play potential. He is a middle route WR, with good hands, and speed. He will find a good place in this offense.
17 - PIT: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
Pittsburgh is known for taking big lineman, and they get another one here. He is a solid OT and they struggled keeping Big Ben upright and healthy. He will be paired with DeCastro and Pouncey to form one of the best (see 49ers line) young offensive lines in the country. This is a good pick, and look for a RB to be taken later, as well as defensive help.
18 - DAL: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
This is a great selection, but not a flashy one. In Kiffin's 4-3 defense he needs a DT that can be disruptive, that can make sure he is a three down player. Williams is just that. He is an athletic specimen, with great size and good feet. He can play the 3 technique and be a monster on this new defense.
19 - NYG: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Wener falls, but not due to his own issues. It is just a need thing. Giants are great at taking pass rushers and they know that they can build around pass rushers if they ge them. Taking a "faller" here would be a good choice. Solid edge rusher, can specialize, or play each down. Needs to add a little weight, but lighter, faster guys will work in the NASCAR package they have.
20 - CHI: Menelik Watson, OT, Florida State
The Bears signed Jermon Bushrod, but that only solves one side of the equation. In order to get better instantly they need to take Watson. Watson would provide them with a solid RT, who can kick Carimi inside and play at a good RG position. This makes Culter happy, and allows him the best opportunity for success to play out his final 2013 contract, and try to get paid like Flacco (won't happen) but he will try.
21 - CIN: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
The Bengals are used to taking players with some concerns. Although I didn't think they would pull the trigger here, they do. They let Lawson walk and they didn't get him back. Malauga is terrible and visiting other teams so they need to address it with an athletic LB. Olgetree is a FREAK at either the strong side or inside LB. He will be great in Zimmers defense.
22 - STL: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
They got a great pick in Janoris Jenkins last year and they take a FSU product that was quality during his time in college. He is experienced, strong, quick, and knows what he is doing. He can play SS or he can play DB opposite Jenkins. He will be an instant impact type player on defense. Addressing two huge needs in round one is always a great way to go.
23 - MIN: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame
I believe this is a high pick for Eifert, and somewhat of a head scratcher for some, but listen: 1) Look at the teams with 2 or more TE sets, and how successful they are, 2) they traded Harvin and missed out on Boldin trade, 3) there is no WR they want here, and 4) they know they need to add offensive help for Ponder. This is a puzzling, but overall good selection for the Vikings, Rudolph and Eifert are a deadly combination.
24 - IND: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Jones falls down here. Regardless of spinal issues, the Colts bring in an athletic and quick OLB. He is their top priority and he is a willing candidate for anything. He realizes how precious life is, and I believe he will make every effort to do what is right for this team. He is a solid addition and a great steal here late in round 1.
25 - MIN: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Hunter has been impressing, and scouts are noticing his big play ability. Hunter is tall (6'4") and as good speed for a guy that size. He has great hands, and would allow Jarius Wright to play the slot, where he belongs. Look for the Vikes to add defense or another receiver in Free Agency (IE, Wallace or Jennings) and become a very potent offense.
26 - GB: Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas State
The packers take an ILB here. They need to get better at their inside LB spot. Granted, Bishop was hurt, but Hawk is a Nickel LB at best. He needs to go. In order to get better defensively they need to take a DT/DE here or an inside LB. They are waiting for their round 1 product last year to flourish as an OLB, and if he doesn't he will go to DE, and they may draft an OLB here.
27 - HOU: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Moore has fallen, but the Texans need more pass rush, and defensive help again this year. Ed Reed may be a good FS, but he is getting up there in age. However, a younger OLB will help JJ Swatt with the pass rush. An inside LB, if available, would be good here too.
28 - DEN: Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State
The Broncos added Welker to an already potent offense. Now they add some DB help, with a young, but athletic Slay. He will play Nickel to start (unless champ moves to safety, then he will play the #2 corner. Good pick here, the defense gets better. Look for them to add a TE later.
29 - NE: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
The Pat's I had grabbing Elam in my earlier mock, then he fell, now after getting Amendola I believe they will take a Gator product (which Bill loves). He is a physical SS, and can fly around. In the multiple defense sets he is a good blitzer, and tackler. He will be a good addition and probably start right away.
30 - ATL: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
I think Austin, because of his combine numbers will be taken round one. I do not think the Falcons need him here, but I believe they may take a chance on him as their slot. That would provide 3-4 dynamic receivers, and a solid TE in Gonzalez. They will look for a RB later, to compliment Rodgers in the backfield.
31 - SF: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
The 49ers let Delaney Walker leave, and I can only imagine them signing another free agent safety, and possible a corner. That leaves another TE that can play with Vernon Davis and use multiple TE's like Harbaugh does. A little reach for Ertz, but Harbaugh knows what he is getting and how he will perform in this offense.
32 - NYJ: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
(Trade with Ravens). Jets needed to get Revis out of there. They get to pick late in round 1 for a player they want, keep their round 2 selection, and get rid of a cancer. They grab Hankins who is a solid NT. They let DeVito walk, and release Sione P'ouha. Time to rebuild with youth. Grab a solid NT here.

Above Average -- Don't think Geno will fall that low, but would be nice. NO and DAL would be thrilled with your picks for them, & SEA pick is itriguing. Good job!-- N.Y. SACK EXCHANGE

Average -- Niners barely get Revis, no extra pick
Tuesday, February 26, 2013 2:53 PM
Average -- Even if Smith does fall to AZ, they won't take him. They're dead set on O line in round 1. (Warmack, assuming the other 2 OT's are off the board).

Poor -- Your pick for the Bucs is ridiculous. IF the Bucs go with a safety it will be with a guy that can play deep in the center field. Cyprien sounds like the same type of player as Barron which makes no sense
Thursday, February 28, 2013 3:55 PM
-- Sounds like your a Buc's fan. Cyprien is a two way safety player. He can do both, and in many schemes in this day of football its not FS or SS, its just a safety.

Average -- Like your comments, esp for Rams 16; Don't think you can give up this much for Revis without knowing if he's sound, and it's too much anyway. One pick for him.

Above Average -- Good Insight, I think the Steelers would be thrilled with the Mingo pick although I just don't think it will happen.

Below Average -- the vikings drafting a TE? hahahaha
Wednesday, March 13, 2013 12:28 PM
-- Look at many of the successful teams in the NFL, 2 if not 3 TE's that are more than capable of starting anywhere else. Its about formations, and mismatches, Eifert is best player available there for them, and would present many mismatches
