Average Rank: 1.0 out of 5 (1 vote) -- Rank This Mock Draft

1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Trading for Alex Smith confirms what most have known for quite some time. There is no quarterback worth taking with the overall number 1 pick. Andy Reid's love fest for lineman continues with the draft's best offensive tackle. Reid should experience far less boos for this pick than his first with Philadelphia.
2 - JAX: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
Floyd's stock is rising. The Jags need serious help creating a pass rush. With Star's heart concern and other defensive ends having a less than impressive combine Floyd and his wonderful beard seems like the logical selection.
3 - OAK: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Chris Mortenson reports Oakland is interested in Geno Smith. As much as everyone likes to point out the weakness in this years qb class they seem to ignore how much team's panic and select qbs too early (please see 2011 first round). What better team to then reach for a qb way too early than the Raiders? I couldn't think of anybody either.
4 - PHI: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Everything seems to have lined up for this pick. There's the Oregon connections between Kelly and Jordan. There's the Eagles switching to a 3-4 and needing an impact linebacker. And finally Jordan dominated the combine and we found out his shoulder issue wasn't as serious as once assumed. Seems like a good start to the Chip Kelly era.
5 - DET: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
The Lions have needed help at the cornerback position for the past few years. In this year's draft they finally address the problem. Many were worried that Milliner might run slow at the combine, but his 4.37 40 cemented him as the clear cut number 1 db and a top 10 option.
6 - CLE: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
The Browns are continuing in their tradition of switching back and forth from a 3-4 to a 4-3 back to a 3-4 and ect. This year they're transitioning back to 4-3 and will need to address the d line. Ansah seems like the typical Brown's pick. He has large boom potential paired up with even bigger bust potential. Seeing as how it's the Browns i like the latter option.
7 - ARI: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
What did I mention about teams panicking and reaching on qb's? Arizona bites again on another USC quarterback and hopefully this one spends a little less time in the hot tub and more time studying. Or hell why not more time in the hot tub and lets do it all over again!
8 - BUF: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Patterson ran well enough at the combine to put himself into the top 10. Buffalo can use another option to take some pressure off of Stevie Johnson and hope that Ryan Fitzpatrick can come somewhat close to living up to his contract.
9 - NYJ: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
After another disappointing season the Jets need to once again address D in the draft. I mean its not as though they need a qb or a rb or a wide receiver or two. However, improving their strength at d and adding an impact linebacker makes sense. And if it doesn't work maybe we won't have to see Mr Ryan hanging around the sidelines and amazing Adam Sandler movies much longer.
10 - TEN: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
While people are currently in panic mode about Star's heard condition before the draft it will calm down. He'll still slide out of the top 5, but seeing him slip out of the top 10 seems like a stretch. The Titans will hope Star can be the next Albert Haynesworth to anchor their defense. You know the Titans version, not the redskins version that expensively laid on the ground.
11 - SD: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
If this does indeed happen the Chargers might be getting the steal of the draft. Fisher is on the rise and many have him rated higher than Joeckel. Not to mention this would be a major point of need for the Chargers who have missed at other left tackle options.
12 - MIA: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
Cornerbacks seemed to benefit the most from the combine. Quite a few quick 40 times have propelled many from second round grades to first round grades. The Dolphins have a big hole at wide receiver, but creating a hole at cornerback by trading Vontae Davis last year will be the position to address at 12.
13 - TB: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
With this pick the Bucs will solidify their saftey position for a long time. After taking Barron a little high last year they get Vaccaro, the only first round grade saftey, in a good spot. If their offence can begin to put things together they can become yet another worst to first NFC South team.
14 - CAR: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
The Panthers need to put more talent around Cam Newton. While I'm sure they'd love to bring a 4th rb into the mix to terrorize fantasy football owners, instead they turn to the self proclaimed "best all around player in the draft". Austin talked a big game pre combine, but did back it up. Now the Panthers can cross their fingers that they are drafting the next Percy Harvin, minus the headache. Get it!
15 - NO: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Mel Kiper Jr still has Jarvis Jones as the number 1 overall player. As we all have learned he has a spinal problem. Apparently spines are difficult to replace so his slide is expected. The saints desperately need an impact player on defense and he will be able to provide that immediate impact. Even if he has a short career, he could have a short prime while Brees is still at the top of his game.
16 - STL: Keenan Allen, WR, California
The Rams hate giving Sam Bradford help. Word is last year they wanted Blackmon, but were robbed when the Jags traded up. They also put in a waiver request for Titus Young only to cut him a few days later. Allen didn't have a great combine, but has still kept his first round grade.
17 - PIT: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Last year I kept hearing how DeCastro was quite possibly the can't miss prospect of the draft and that he wouldn't slide. Then the draft came and once again we were reminded how little value is placed on interior lineman. This year the same story is being told about Chance. I'm guessing there will be a similar slide. I'm also banking on similar team making the selection and turning their terrible o line situation into maybe the youngest and most talented interior groups in the league.
18 - DAL: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Werner a week or two ago was being chosen in the top 5 picks. The combine did not help his stock. With the Cowobys moving to a 4-3 they will need somebody on the other side of Ware. Bjoern will join the long list of other first rounders name Bjoern with the Cowboys at 18.
19 - NYG: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Another O lineman falls and the team choosing has to be happy. Lane Johnson has been hot since senior bowl and backed it up by proving to be one of the most athletic tackles at the draft. The Giants are happy, but the next to selecting will be sad.
20 - CHI: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
The Bears will become the first team to reach on an offensive tackle. This should be something they've become accustomed to. I bet they wished Lane had lasted another pick.
21 - CIN: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
The Bengals have hit draft day black jack two years in a row. What do they win? Nothing? Well moving on, last year the everyone speculated the Bengals would draft a rb, but instead they went with the law firm. While not a total bust he clearly is not the answer this offence needs. So they will again go with a first round Alabama pick and take Mr Lacy. I'm sure they're hoping to get much more Trent Richardson than Mark Ingram.
22 - STL: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
Yup, why not. What's a way to make sure your first round wide receiver isn't a bust? Draft two of them! With Stepehn Jackson leaving they really need weapons on offence. With Amendola in the slot and these two wide outs on the outside he might actually have a shot at being successful.
23 - MIN: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Nobody was hurt more by the combine than Moore. Many have the former top 5 option sliding out of the first round. My guess is that will calm down as the draft grows closer. With this pick the Vikings have a replacement for Ray Edwards and can start the path towards having another dominant defensive line.
24 - IND: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Lets hope ESPN mentions that he has good family genes. There's no Matthews in the draft so they will really have to drive on the Trufant family tree. Anyway Trufant had a good combine and sneaks into the first round.
25 - SEA: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
Chris Clemons suffered a late injury and is starting to get a little long in the tooth. That being said this would be the best bet for a replacement. But why even try to guess what the Seahawks will do in the draft. Bruce Irwin? (I'm aware he played well, but still)
26 - GB: Robert Woods, WR, USC
This seems like possibly a stretch for Woods, but he seems like the perfect replacement for Greg Jennings. I think he will be good.
27 - HOU: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
There hasn't been a major run on wide receivers in quite some time. Obviously I feel like this changes this year. The Texans have needed somebody on the other side of Andre Johnson for quite some time. With their defense shored up they can take the shot in the first round. I promise I won't mock anymore wide receivers.
28 - DEN: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
The toughest part of this pick was figuring out what letter R comes after. Having found it Sheldon Richardson's slide can finally stop. Denver gets great value at a position of need. Not as good as Tebow in the 20's, but still.
29 - NE: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Boy I would have loved to mock a wide receiver hear. However, I promised I wouldn't. Banks didn't have the best combine, but is still the best cornerback on the board. Who are we kidding, its not like Bellicheck is going to not trade out of the first round two years in a row. (i'm aware Bill's name is spelled wrong, but do not respect him enough to search how it should be spelled)
30 - ATL: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
While a defensive end might be the bigger need, Hankins has good value at a position of need. Abraham still has at least another year of production in him.
31 - SF: Margus Hunt, DE, Southern Methodist
Athletic freak really doesn't begin to describe him. He's a project, but with the 49ers picking up an extra high second round pick for Alex Smith they can afford to take the risk. Eventually he should be able to take over for Justin Smith.
32 - BAL: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Everyone thinks this is the perfect spot for Teo to be drafted. However, after a personality like Ray Lewis has been the leader on the defense for years I cant imagine Teo's personality coming in and taking over. Instead another I'll take the more athletic guy who's gotten a DUI. Let's face it we'd all rather hang out with a guy that's had a DUI vs. a guy with a fake girlfriend. That's just good math.

Poor -- 2 WR in round 1 to Rams not likely.
