Average Rank: 3.0 out of 5 (2 votes) -- Rank This Mock Draft
1 - KC: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
The Chiefs top 5 needs this offseason are at QB WR DE ILB and a Guard. They traded for Alex Smith, Franchised Brandon Albert, and resigned the highest paid Punter in the NFL. Hard to see them taking the best OT in the draft considering the amount of money committed to Albert and there is no real standout at any other position. at this time BPA is Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel. But they could use an upgrade at the DE position as well. Shariff Floyd could be that guy.

2 - JAX: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Jacksonville could really use a Quarterback, but I don’t see them drafting Geno Smith this high. Smith is a product of a weak QB draft class, so the Jaguars could very well pull the trigger, but they tried that before with Blaine Gabbert. I believe the safer choice would be the DE from BYU.

3 - OAK: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Oakland could stand to use an upgrade at Quarterback, because Carson Palmer has not been able to get it done, and there have been reports that the Oakland Raiders will pull the trigger on Geno if he’s not drafted before their pick. This could make sense for a team that has been bad at QB since the JaMarcus Russell situation.

4 - PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Philadelphia with the signing of Chip Kelly, will be looking to draft a lot of players based off of scheme fit, to get this team ready for the 7 seconds or less offense that Chip Kelly will unleash this season. Its a tough call between DE and someone who can help Michael Vick or whoever they plug in at Quarterback stay upright. hmmmmm Decisions... well Dion Jordan did come from Oregon, that could be an interesting story line, but in the end they have to go with a Tackle don’t they?

5 - DET: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Detroit really needs an upgrade at Corner. Chris Houston just is not the answer, and with the unsurity of Delmas staying in Detroit, at this time Corner looks like a must have right now. so until something changes the cirumcstances I think Detroit has to go Secondary first in the 2013 draft.

6 - CLE: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
What don’t they need at this point? They traded with the Falcons years ago when they could have had a stud at WR. But since they don’t, Weeden has to have somebody to throw to. WR could definitely stand an upgrade, but Weeden is nearing the peak portion of his career. Yes I know he's only in year two, but he came in to the league at 28, how long do they really think he will last. So do they go QB G or DE? My guess is DE.

7 - ARI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
With Geno Smith long gone off the board, the Cardinals have to turn to their secondary need. It’s imperative to have a QB to the throw the ball to your best wide receiver, but you also have to be able to block for said Quarterback. Since OT is their second most need I have them selecting the Central Michigan product.

8 - BUF: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Buffalo is in need of a lot of things. QB for starters. Shawn Merriman has decided to retire, and though Mario Williams came on at the end of the season, they could still be on the market for a Defensive End. Mark Anderson went down with an apparent knee injury last season, so he might take a step back in his production. There is also a need at Linebacker. And no one can forget their need at Wide receiver. There is no Linebacker worthy of the 8th overall pick. The same for the QB position, th

9 - NYJ: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
The New York jets have a lot of holes to fill. I think it first starts on offense even though they've released some key players on their defense. No matter who takes the reigns at quarterback, they 1, need someone to throw to, and two, need to have time to throw the ball. The Jets settle on Lane Johnson, the massive OT out of Oklahoma.

10 - TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Chris Johnson says that he will outrush Adrian Peterson this season. Tough task to do, especially for someone who has since his 2,006 rushing yards hasn’t done anything relatively close to those numbers. But if he believes he can do it, and he does have the speed to do so, he'll need some help along the offensive line. Insert the Alabama Product.

11 - SD: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
One of San Diego's needs is at the ILB position. The other position is along the offensive line. They could use an upgrade at the Guard position. So keeping up with our offensive line theme, insert Cooper, the guard out of North Carolina.

12 - MIA: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
Miami needs to upgrade its talent around Tannehill. Though I don’t think he's worth this high of a draft pick, they REALLY could make good use of WR Keenan Allen. They also could draft a Cornerback considering last year’s trade of Vontae Davis to the Colts. It’s a toss-up at this point, but Corner is a bigger need than Wide Receiver. So with that the Miami Dolphins draft Xavier Rhodes.

13 - TB: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Aqib Talib is gone, they passed on Claiborne last season, they are reportedly going to release Eric Wright, Ronde Barber may not be retained and Biggers is a UFA. This is all at the Cornerback position. Time to address the obvious hole.

14 - CAR: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
The Panthers have a need at DT since they aren’t planning on keep Ron Edwards. They could look to upgrade the WR position in the second. They could also choose to go with an offensive lineman with all of the injuries they occurred last season, but the best player available is Utah’s Star Lotulelei. He’d go much higher and still could if his heart condition isn’t that serious. In this case he’s a great pick up for the Panthers at 14.

18 - DAL: Matt Elam, SS, Florida

22 - STL: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama

Excellent -- So far this is the best mock I've seen. Good explanations and logic.
