2/8 costrander3689's Mock Draft
1 - JAX: Kawann Short, DT, Purdue
(Smith, QB) The Jaguars need a DT upgrade, and Short is a safe call
2 - SF: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
(Jones, DE) With needs at CB and S, Banks is a good pick here
3 - PHI: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
(Fisher, OT) The Eagles should just cut Asomugha and find a replacement for him. Trufant would be an excellent replacement
4 - DET: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
(Milliner, CB) Montgomery would be a solid replacement for Vanden Bosch or Avril
5 - CIN: Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina
(Elam, S) Bernard and BJGE would be a good complimentary duo, and draw some attention from Dalton and Green
6 - ARI: EJ Manuel, QB, Florida State
(Johnson, OT) Arians is a genius with young QBs, and few have the raw talent and potential of Manuel. They should ride out Kolb, and get Manuel ready for next season
7 - NYJ: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
(Patterson, WR) Sanchez can't go into next season without competition. Wilson has early starting potential, and could give him a run for his money
8 - TEN: Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State
(Warmack, OG) The Titans get their pass-rushing end here. Carradine should be good by the start of training camp
9 - BUF: Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse
(Werner, DE) Marone will tell all we need to know about Nassib based on who he takes here. I like his chances against Fitzpatrick
10 - MIA: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
(Austin, WR) The Dolphins continue adding weapons for Tannehill. They could look DE or CB here, but both of those positions have a lot of depth in this draft
11 - TB: David Amerson, CB, North Carolina State
(Lotulelei, DT) Strong workouts have put Amerson back into the top half of the 2nd round. The Bucs need a CB and FS, which makes this a flexible pick
12 - CAR: Eric Reid, FS, LSU
(Richardson, DT) Another team needing a CB and S gets the top FS on the board
13 - SD: Menelik Watson, OT, Florida State
(Cooper, OG) Watson and Cooper would give the Chargers a talented young core to build their o-line around
14 - STL: Dallas Thomas, OT, Tennessee
(Vaccaro, S; Allen, WR) The Rams need a powerful RT and RG. Thomas should nicely fill one of those spots
15 - DAL: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International
(Ansah, DE) Cyprien is a steal here, and gives the Cowboys the SS they've been looking for
16 - PIT: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
(Jones, LB) Hampton is on his last legs, and likely going to be cut. Williams would be a nice replacement
17 - NYG: Khaseem Greene, OLB, Rutgers
(OT, Fluker) The Giants need LB depth, and Greene is a good value pick here. His speed should keep him on the field, especially against RG3
18 - CHI: Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff
(Eifert, TE) The Bears could take a shot on the super-athletic Armstead here. They need to replace Webb, and this is their best shot
19 - WAS: Jamar Taylor, CB, Boise State
Washington is likely to cut Hall, making Taylor a smart pick here
20 - MIN: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
(Hunter, WR) Minter is a steal here, and gives the Vikings a starting-caliber MLB
21 - CIN: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Based on talent, Ogletree should be a 1st Round pick, however, off-field issues could drop him to here, where the Bengals need him
22 - MIA: Larry Warford, OG, Kentucky
The Dolphins need a RG, and Warford has tremendous value here
23 - GB: Robert Woods, WR, USC
(Lacy, HB) Jennings is out, and they need another WR to compliment Cobb and and Nelson. Woods is a good value pick here
24 - SEA: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
(Moore, DE) Adding Williams would give Wilson a speedy outside WR to pair with Rice and Tate
25 - HOU: Trevardo Williams, OLB, Connecticut
(Hopkins, WR) The Texans need depth at OLB, and Williams should be a nice rotational piece for them
26 - DEN: Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina
(Rhodes, CB) The Broncos are giving Moreno one more chance, But McGahee is aging, and Hillman is a 3rd down back. Lattimore would be a nice stash player for them
27 - NE: Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia
(Hankins, DT) Welker will be tough to bring back. If they can't do it, Bailey would be a good replacement in the slot
28 - ATL: Vance McDonald, TE, Rice
(Okafor, DE) McDonald has been creeping up draft boards, and the Falcons should take notice here
29 - SF: John Simon, DE, Ohio State
The 49ers are another team that needs pass rush depth. Simon would fit nicely in San Fran
30 - BAL: Quinton Patton, WR, Louisiana Tech
(Te'o, LB) Patton would be a very good compliment to Torrey Smith. I can't see them paying Boldin as much as he wants
31 - CLE: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
The Browns used their 2nd round pick to take Josh Gordon in the Supplemental Draft
32 - NO: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
The Saints had to forfeit their 2nd round pick due to Bounty Gate sanctions
