nash14122's Mock Draft 1 (Round 1)

1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Have to take the best player available

2 - JAX: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
New Head Coach Gus Bradley is defensive minded. Jaguars need immediate impact and Floyd can bring that.

3 - OAK: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Carson Palmer is just not doing the job. Oakland hopes that Smith can bring new life to the team.

4 - PHI: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Chip Kelly gets a player he is very familiar with. Jordan needs to bulk up a little. If any coach is going to get him to bulk up, it will be his old college coach. The eagles are switching to a 3-4 and need OLB that can rush.

5 - DET: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
I know the Lions need a pass rusher, but there are a lot of them in this draft. The Lions get a hopefully franchise corner.

6 - CLE: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
This might be a shocker, but the Browns need offensive help. They Browns got defensive help already in free agency. Would not surprise me if Cleveland trades down too.

7 - ARI: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Arizona does not have a QB on the roster. New Head Coach Bruce Arians is a QB coach so he needs a QB. Barkley is supposedly healthy.

8 - BUF: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Buffalo needs a QB, but there is no one worth taking at the 8 spot. They need a OG after losing Levitre to FA. Could also see them trade up to try to get Smith or Barkley. Remember new Head Coach Doug Marrone college QB Ryan Nassib is in the draft, and they can definitely get him in the 2nd round.

9 - NYJ: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Jets want to get back to that defensive team they once were. Ansah could help the, fill some DL spots they lost to FA.

10 - TEN: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Chris Johnson is still the titans best player. The reason for his decline is because they have a sub par offensive line. Cooper should help with the inside presence on the OL.

11 - SD: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Lotulelei didn't participate at the combine due to a health problem. That is why he might fall, but San Diego is happy to have him.

12 - MIA: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Another steal. After losing Jake Long, Miami needs a new Tackle.

13 - TB: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Tampa could use another pass rusher. Why not keep Werner in Florida.

14 - CAR: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Alot of people think that the Panthers are going pass rush here. Steve Smith is 33, why not get his replacement now, and worry about the pass rush in the second round.

15 - NO: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
The Saints have a new defesive cordinator in Rob Ryan. We all know how much Ryan loved Demarcus Ware and he hopes to have one of those guys in Mingo.

16 - STL: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
The rams are taking the best player available. They also lost Bradley Fletcher to FA, so they need another corner.

17 - PIT: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
The Steelers defense is not getting any younger. They take the best DB on the board in Vaccaro. Steelers could also trade up to try and get a replacement for Mike Wallace.

18 - DAL: EJ Manuel, QB, Florida State
Don't jump out of your seats on this one, but GM Jerry Jones has said that he is going to make things uncomfortable in Dallas. Dallas has no cap room, and if Manuel performs well, who says that Romo couldn't be a FA.

19 - NYG: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
It seems as the Giants are always in a need for a LB. Olgetree could solidify a LB spot for years to come.

20 - CHI: Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame
The bears don't have a Brian Urlacher anymore. Alot of people have a red flag on Te'o because of his combine performance and his lack of girlfriend, but he is a great player.

21 - CIN: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
The Bengals need another OT. Lane Johnson is the next best OT on the board.

22 - STL: Keenan Allen, WR, California
The Rams need WR help. If they can get a good deal to trade up to get Austin or Patterson they could do it.

23 - MIN: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Jarred Allen can't be the only one to be getting sacks. Richardson should add to the DL>

24 - IND: Jamie Collins, OLB, Southern Miss
Now that the Colts don't have Dwight Freeney anymore they need another OLB.

25 - MIN: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
The Vikings need another WR to be on the other side of Greg Jennings. They may try and trade this if they can, or maybe take Desmond Trufant, who can be a very good CB in the league.

26 - GB: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
The Packers lost Charles Woodson to FA, Elam is a play maker who can fill Woodson's Void

27 - HOU: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
The Texans los Conor Barwin to FA and need someone to fill that spot. Jarvis Jones has some red flags after his pro bowl performance, but Houston will take him, because he is still a great player.

28 - DEN: Margus Hunt, DE, Southern Methodist
OL have a hard task week to week, having to try to stop #92 from getting sacks, if they new they could just bring a fax machine to stop him it would have been a lot easier. The Broncos need another DE know, Hunt is the best on the board.

29 - NE: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
The Pats lost Welker, and cut Brandon LLoyd. The need another receiver other than Amendola.

30 - ATL: Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford
This is #88's last year, and Atlanta says hey lets get a guy who can learn from the best.

31 - SF: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
The 49ers need a new DT after losing Sopoga to FA. They take the best on the board. If San Fran sees someone they really like, could see them trade up because they have a lot of picks in this draft.

32 - BAL: Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
The Ravens need every single Defensive position. It doesn't help, that they have the 32nd pick in the draft. They take Minter, because the Ravens think this is the most important position to fill first.
