1 - KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
As Kansas City has been busy this winter filling dire needs, taking Joeckel with the first overall pick would be the cherry on top to a fantastic offseason. Joeckel can step right in and play right tackle before becoming the LT of the future with the retention of Brandon Albert.
2 - JAX: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
While Jacksonville has plenty of needs, new head coach Gus Bradley doesn't pass up the opportunity to get his quarterback of the future. According to reports, after attending Smith's pro day, the Jags were more impressed with him then they were "prepared to be." Their interest only grows as Smith continues to shine in workouts.
3 - OAK: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
As Floyd continues to see his draft stock rise, the Raiders can add a force in the middle to greatly improve their league-worst pass rush of last season.
4 - PHI: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
With the release of Asomugha and Rodgers-Cromartie jumping to Denver, Philly faces a glaring need in the secondary. Millner is regarded as the best corner in the draft, and could provide an immediate impact.
5 - DET: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
After cutting ties with Kyle Vandon Bosch and losing Cliff Avril to Seattle, Detroit needs to address their pass rush in order to stay competitive in the NFC North. Ansah is raw, but his stock has been rising daily with his continued comparisons to Jason Pierre-Paul.
6 - CLE: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
New GM Michael Lombardi recently let it be known that Cleveland's main priority was to improve the pass rush. This was shown by the big money given to Paul Kruger. Jordan is an athletic freak built like a power forward. Under new DC Ray Horton, Jordan can thrive in the 3-4 set, as he can speed rush the passer, and can also handle dropping into short coverage.
7 - ARI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
This is a no-brainer for new HC Bruce Arians as a cornerstone LT falls into his lap. Fisher is regarded by some as even better than Joeckel, and will make an immediate impact on shoring up the offense on the left side and keeping the quarterback on his feet.
8 - BUF: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
GM Buddy Nix has gone on record saying WR could be a target with the first pick. Patterson is a phenomenal prospect whose stock has been soaring since the combine. Also, don't be surprised if the Bills are in the race to trade up for Geno Smith. Trust me, there will be several trying to move up.
9 - NYJ: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
Lotulelei has been a question mark since the combine. Once considered a lock for the number one pick, a heart condition discovered recently held him from participating in the combine workouts, causing his stock to deflate. The Utah alum had his pro day today, and did relatively well, which should calm some doubters. The Jets land a potential steal, as Lotulelei falls all the way to 9.
10 - TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
The Titans made it a priority to improve the offensive line this offseason. They were able to add Andy Levitre from Buffalo, and the addition of Warmack would solidify the inside running game for new Titan Shonn Greene, meanwhile opening up more offense for CJ2K to return to form.
11 - SD: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Johnson shined at the Senior Bowl, watching his stock rise more and more. He projects more as a true RT, in which the Chargers could use a major upgrade.
12 - MIA: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Miami has been busy this offseason, but still have a lot of needs on defense. CB is a glaring need as Sean Smith jettisoned to KC. Trufant, the younger brother of NFLer Marcus Trufant, is a good cover corner that can come in and start from day 1.
13 - TB: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
Jarvis Jones is a monster of a talent. Injury concerns have caused his stock to fall off, but Jones is a Von Miller-type defender who can be a difference maker right away.
14 - CAR: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
The high-motor DT Richardson is a force on the line and provides good pass rush up the middle. WR Steve Smith was recently quoted mentioning that he hopes the Panthers take Richardson in the draft. Thats good enough for me.
15 - NO: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Mingo is a raw player with a high ceiling. New Orleans was atrocious in all things defense, but adding Mingo, a local product from LSU, gives new DC Rob Ryan a nice piece to build his 3-4 defense.
16 - STL: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
With the addition of LT Jake Long, St. Louis shored up a huge need and gave themselves more options going into the draft. The Rams add Austin to give Bradford another weapon who can provide that "X-Factor" this offense has been missing for some time.
17 - PIT: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Pittsburgh isn't getting any younger on defense. This pick could go a number of ways, but Ogletree adds a nice rotational LB that can eventually replace Larry Foote.
18 - DAL: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
Dallas adds the best safety in the draft class to make their secondary even tougher, already featuring Claiborne and Carr.
19 - NYG: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
With the departure of both Chris Canty and Osi, the Giants are in dire need of some new blood on the end. Werner is a solid 4-3 DE that will fill in nicely in a rotation with Justin Tuck and JPP. The G-Men strike gold again with another pass rusher.
20 - CHI: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
While MLB is a glaring need, an even bigger need is at OT. Too often was J'Marcus Webb liable for allowing pressure and ending drives at RT. Fluker is a mammoth of a man with big game experience who can step in immediately and make an impact at RT.
21 - CIN: Menelik Watson, OT, Florida State
If Andre Smith leaves, Cincy has big problems at RT. Watson is a name that has been generating buzz from his recent workouts. However, if Smith returns, look for Cincy to go for either a LB or S.
22 - STL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
St. Louis is able to land a sound prospect with great footwork to come in and play LG from day one.
23 - MIN: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Minnesota continues to add pieces to the offense with Allen. Keenan has the ability to create space and has been compared to Anquan Boldin. He should pair nicely with Greg Jennings in Minneapolis.
24 - IND: Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
Rhodes gives Indy another rotational corner that could end up winning the starting job out of camp opposite Vontae Davis.
25 - MIN: Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
Minnesota needs more of a presence up front, and Williams provides it in a big way. This is a player with big talent I could see sliding because of other needs of other teams, and Minnesota would be lucky to land him.
26 - GB: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
The Pack add a workhorse RB who might be able to finally close the revolving door in Green Bay. Recent injury concerns may cause him to slide a little.
27 - HOU: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Houston looks to add that elusive No. 2 WR that they have been looking to pair with Andre Johnson for years.
28 - DEN: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
If the Broncos are not able to retain Dumervil, Denver will look to add another pass rusher. If they are, this pick could be a corner or a LB. I also wouldn't be surprised if they traded down if the price is right due to their great offseason thus far.
29 - NE: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
After losing Wes Welker and cutting Brandon Lloyd, the team will have to do more than just add injury-prone Danny Amendola. Hopkins is an exciting prospect that could hedge his learning curve from Tom Brady
30 - ATL: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
This pick could go one of two ways: a DE or a CB. Both are big needs as ATL lost both John Abraham and Dunta Robinson during this offseason.
31 - SF: Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International
Cyprien's stock has been rising since the combine. He is a player who is raw, but could potentially fill the void left by Dashon Goldson dashing for a payday in Tampa Bay.
32 - BAL: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
Baltimore has lost several pieces of their championship pieces, including both starting safties. Elam is a natural ball hawker who can also make bone-crushing hits. Sounds like he'll fit right in.
