Author's Comments

I left all my picks as I made them before the draft. I comment on what picks were really made.

My biggest missees are probably the same as a lot of people, Juwuan James and Marcus Smith for example.

1 - HOU: Jadeveon Clowney, DE , South Carolina
Jadeveon Clowney - Unable to trade down, this pick happened just as it should
2 - STL: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn
Greg Robinson - Another pick that happened just as most people predicted
3 - JAX: Khalil Mack, LB , Buffalo
Blake Bortles - A pick I definitely didn't see coming, I would have guessed Manziel before Bortles, but I hadn't mocked a QB here for weeks
4 - CLE: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
TRADE Sammy Watkins to Bills. I had heard the rumors of the Bills being interested in a move up for a WR. So the pick was right, the team was wrong
5 - OAK: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M
Khalil Mack - I didn't think he'd be here at #5, so I'm not surprised the Raiders took him. The Raiders are piling up the pass rushers
6 - ATL: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
Jake Matthews - Another pick plenty of people saw coming
7 - TB: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
Mike Evans - This pick was widely predicted, but I thought Evans would be gone and they'd take Manziel
8 - MIN: Aaron Donald, DL , Pittsburgh
TRADE Justin Gilbert to Browns - I'm not surprised the Browns drafted a CB, but I'm surprised they took one this early
9 - BUF: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
TRADE Anthony Barr to Vikings - This pick didn't surprise me per se, but I think it's a reach
10 - DET: Odell Beckham, WR , LSU
Eric Ebron - I thought they'd go receiver but didn't think Ebron would go this early
11 - TEN: Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida
Taylor Lewan - I knew the Titans were a wild card, and they didn't disappoint. I had mocked an OT to them for a while but after they signed Oher I changed my mind
12 - NYG: Zack Martin, OT, Notre Dame
Odell Beckham - I thought for sure they'd draft a lineman
13 - STL: Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama
Aaron Donald - The Rams stuck to theri board apparentlly because DT was not a need. I guess I over estimated Clinton-Dix's value
14 - CHI: Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville
Kyle Fuller - I knew they'd address the back 7 of the defense but thought safety would be more pressing
15 - PIT: Darqueze Dennard, CB , Michigan State
Ryan Shazier - I knew they'd likely go defense but I imagined it would be a CB. #21 was the highest I ever mocked Shazier, so it was a little surprising
16 - DAL: Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA
Zack Martin - I had seen Martin mocked to the Cowboys before, but I thought there was no way they'd not go defense
17 - BAL: Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
CJ Mosley - I mocked this pick at one point but changed it over time. I'm kinda surprised they didn't take Ha Ha
18 - NYJ: Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
Calvin Pryor - I didn't think he'd go before Ha Ha. I thought the Jets would address the defense in the first but CB was more likely. This pick is far from shocking though
19 - MIA: C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama
Juwuan James - We all knew they wanted to address OL, but I never once mocked James in the first round
20 - ARI: Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State
TRADE Brandin Cooks to the Saints - WR was a possibility for the Saints, but I didn't see them trading up for one in the first round. I thought defense was more likely
21 - GB: Ryan Shazier, LB , Ohio State
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix - The pick makes sense, I just didn't think he'd fall to #21
22 - PHI: Brandin Cooks, WR , Oregon State
TRADE Johnny Manziel to Browns - The Browns stopped the free fall, Manziel to the Browns was mocked by plenty of people, but I thought it was more likely to happen at #4
23 - KC: Marqise Lee, WR , USC
Dee Ford - Lee fell all the way out of the first round. The Chiefs picking Ford I would have never guessed, because frankly I don' thtink it makes sense
24 - CIN: Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
Darqueze Dennard - Some had said Dennard would fall but I didn't buy it. I did predict the Bengals would go CB though
25 - SD: Louis Nix, DT, Notre Dame
Jason Verrett - For most of the offseason I thought the Chargers would go CB, but in the past couple weeks I've been projecting Nix
26 - CLE: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
TRADE Marcus Smith to Eagles - Wow, I never mocked Smith in the first round and I never saw a mock with Smith in the first round. The Eagles taking a pass rusher was a common prediction but not Smith
27 - NO: Dee Ford, DE , Auburn
TRADE Deone Buccannon - At one point I had mocked Buccannon to the Cards, but that was a while back and at #20. I hadn't had Buccannon in the first round in a month
28 - CAR: Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia
Kelvin Benjamin - I thought they'd address the OL before WR
29 - NE: Kony Ealy, DL , Missouri
Dominique Easley - I had mocked Easley to the Patriots for a long time, but it was in the 2nd round
30 - SF: Bradley Roby, CB , Ohio State
Jimmie Ward - Apparently they want to play him at CB, so at least I had their need right
31 - DEN: Ra'Shede Hageman, DL , Minnesota
Bradley Roby - Roby got pushed down like I thought, and CB is a need for the Broncos
32 - SEA: Xavier Su'a-Filo, OL , UCLA
TRADE Teddy Bridgewater to Vikings - I had heard the Vikes linked to Bridgewater but I didn't buy it

Poor -- wayyyy off base.. some picks make absolutely no sense
Wednesday, January 22, 2014 12:31 PM
-- I'm guessing you just go around ranking everybody's mock as Poor. Every one of these players has an early round grade and I give justification for every pick. If this mock makes absolutely no sense to you, the problem is you, not the mock.

Excellent -- great draft
Wednesday, January 22, 2014 5:41 PM
Average -- Some people are questionable like Tuitt , Morgon Mosey, but I like Critchon I got him as a first round too.
Sunday, January 26, 2014 1:48 AM
Poor -- Were the Titans kicked out of the NFL? They are supposed to pick 11th.
Sunday, January 26, 2014 1:42 PM
Excellent -- Well written and pretty well picked. Some great outside of the box thoughts,...but with explanations. Nice job here.
Sunday, January 26, 2014 9:05 PM
-- I don't know what happened to the Titans pick, it was Taylor Lewan all along. Thank you for the positive reviews

Below Average -- The Packers would NOT pass up on Ebron.
Tuesday, January 28, 2014 3:19 PM
Average -- In this man's defense the Packers can't stop anyone or block anyone. It's a mock draft fellas. Don't take it personally. Your draft was different;but at least you are original . nice job.

Above Average -- Solid mock. For the guy saying the Packers would not pass up on Ebron, as a Packers fan, I sure as hell hope they would. Nothing against Ebron, but Safety and D-Line are a MUCH bigger need than a TE in round 1. I like the analysis with all the picks!

Poor -- overviewed dushbag...form your own opinion! regurd robot...unoriginal smuck.
Monday, February 3, 2014 8:47 AM
-- ^^^ Hahaha, what??
Thursday, February 6, 2014 8:02 AM
-- Please notice the link at the beginning of my mock, I just think it's good reading
Thursday, February 6, 2014 10:26 AM
Above Average -- Solid. I agree with most of the picks.
Friday, February 7, 2014 4:40 PM
Above Average -- tuitt and moses not first round material, but can understand why you did what you did.
Saturday, February 8, 2014 9:01 AM
Average -- ^^^ I want some of what that guys got, it clearly smokes good.
Wednesday, February 12, 2014 9:32 AM
-- I'm seeing plenty of comments about Tuitt being too high. I'm also seeing him all over the board in draft rankings. I've decided to move him down and Hageman up. We'll see if that sticks.
Thursday, February 13, 2014 8:27 PM
Above Average -- I would love to see Watkins fall to TB but I have a feeling he'll be gone by then. Great mock overall.
Friday, February 14, 2014 5:03 PM
Excellent -- watkins baby love it go bucaneers we will make the playoffs with beast sammy watkins
Tuesday, February 18, 2014 8:25 AM
Average -- I think Evans and Lee fall too far down in this draft, but pretty good picks
Tuesday, February 18, 2014 1:11 PM
Excellent -- Great explanations for your picks and love the fisy for each team.
Thursday, February 20, 2014 2:43 PM
Above Average -- This cornerback draft is actually deep with prospects that can do well in the league so that is why I think Dennard at 10 is too high, there is no significant difference from him to the 5th ranked cb
Friday, February 21, 2014 8:10 AM
-- Interesting take. I've heard mixed reviews of Dennard, but I have him at 10 due to Lions' need. It could very well be Gilbert instead of Dennard there or they could all drop down the board. Thanks for the review
Tuesday, February 25, 2014 11:10 AM
Above Average -- Solid!
Friday, February 28, 2014 2:49 PM
Above Average -- This is pretty good, but Bortles and Bridgewater should be switched for sure
Saturday, March 8, 2014 6:46 PM
Average -- except for tuitt ok
Monday, March 17, 2014 11:22 AM
Above Average -- I was wondering where u would go after saints resign zach since u were high on them taking a ol in draft, and i cant dissagree right now they r one cb from having a real serious secondary then go wr or olb after that
Monday, March 17, 2014 2:13 PM
-- With the way my mock turned out Verrett seemed like the best pick for them at 27, but I wouldn't be surprised if they went WR or OLB
Friday, March 21, 2014 9:01 PM
Excellent -- Love the comments & the erudition. J-E-T-S need WR--but funny how Benjamin's suddenly fallen off everybody's first round. You're the first person I've seen smart enough to have not just Watkins but Evans too going that high. Giants taking an OT=smart pick
Wednesday, April 16, 2014 4:44 PM
Poor -- Why would the rams trade back just to trade up?????? They could still get Dix at 13.
Thursday, April 17, 2014 7:47 AM
-- They trade back because they don't need #2 pick, they trade up to get the player they want. With teams like the Bills, Lions, Titans, Ravens, Bears, etc, all looking at Dix, they might have to move up to secure him. He's no lock to be there at #13
Monday, April 21, 2014 10:39 AM
-- It looks like I'm not the only mocker predicting that trade up - http://www.2mugsff.com/content/rummys-what-should-they-do-nfl-mock-draft-2014
Tuesday, April 22, 2014 7:47 PM
Above Average -- Like the draft. Although I hope the Eagles take Odell.
Friday, April 25, 2014 4:46 PM
Above Average -- Don't see Beckhman getting past BAL. Good picks
Monday, May 5, 2014 7:59 PM
Poor -- Considering you can't even get the draft order correct, unless you're really projected the 49ers to trade up one spot with the Pats
Tuesday, May 6, 2014 12:31 PM
Above Average -- this is a fun mock. Nice job
Tuesday, May 6, 2014 6:46 PM
-- I've projected so many trades during the life of this mock changing the teams in different slots, I must have mixed up those picks. So sorry to have offended you.
Monday, May 19, 2014 6:35 PM
Above Average -- Pretty Good!
