2013 Outlook: Super Sleeper (high risk/potential)

Last updated on Aug-21-2013 by Vin Sadicario

Mark Ingram could be poised for a big season in 2013. Ingram has struggled to make a big impression over his first two seasons, but with Chris Ivory now gone, Ingram should see the majority of first and second down carries for the Saints. Sean Payton has emphasized that he wants to run the ball more this season, making Ingram a breakout candidate in fantasy leagues. The drawback to Ingram is that he is almost never used in the passing game, and is unlikely to become more involved, with Darren Sproles being so good catching the ball out of the backfield.

8.04 FFMagicMan - A couple of gentlemen, who know much more than I and whose opinions I greatly respect, are both expecting huge things from Ingram this season. Sean Payton is back running the show, and Payton is a huge Ingram supporter. Ingram is finally healthy, and if he finally plays up to his 1st-round pedigree this pick could win me the league.
2013 FFToolbox Expert Mock Draft #3
July 9th, 2013
7.12 KFFL - Tim - You could hear a pin drop when it came to reliable RB depth here, and I took a chance on Ingram, who finished last year strong and could receive some favoratism from Sean Payton (who said he wants to run a bit more) and the organization (contract). He won't usurp Darren Sproles, but Ingram scoring seven or so touchdowns would do fine for flex value.
