2013 Outlook: Sleeper (undervalued)

Last updated on Aug-28-2013 by Shawn Larabee

Moore caught 51 balls last year and 30 the year before. Those are solid numbers for any second year wide receiver, especially considering he wasn't the clear cut #1 in the offense, sharing time with new Colts WR Darius Heyward Bey. Is it time for a breakout season 3? Could happen, but don't count on it. Ongoing instability at QB and on the offensive line will make it tough for Moore to complete the leap to fantasy stardom. We like him, we just wish he had a better quarterback throwing him the ball. Don't discount appearances by as many as three different starting quarterbacks this season as Oakland tries to find a way to win games.

2013 Mock Draft Results

Month Position Franchise/Comments
2013 FFToolbox Staff Mock Draft #1
June 18th, 2013
11.11 FFToolbox - Rob Warner - Matt Flynn, Pryor, and rookie Tyler Wilson could all start at some point this year -- not a good sign for passing production. In two seasons Moore has 12 TDs but has averaged less than 50 YPG thanks to less than impressive QB play which will be the base again this season.
2013 FFToolbox Expert Mock Draft #2
July 2nd 2013
9.12 KFFSC - My Ray Rice handcuff was stolen this round. I was really hoping to take him with one of these picks but that's what I get for waiting. And with the pick of BGE last round it's time to add another WR. Just my luck a number one WR on a team that's going to have to throw the ball. Moore can give you a 20 point game but he can also give you a 4 point game. I expect Matt Flynn to win the starting job over Pryor. That's a good thing for Moore and a good thing for my roster as we enter the 10th round.
2013 FFToolbox Expert Mock Draft #1
June 25th, 2013
8.10 KFFL - I wanted a boom-or-bust pick at wideout, and Moore is just that. I am unsure of what to expect from Matt Flynn. He has to throw to someone, right? Moore is the most physically gifted receiver Oakland has to offer.
2013 FFToolbox Expert Mock Draft #3
July 9th, 2013
9.12 KFFL - Tim - The QB situation is putrid, but Moore can make things happen after he gets the ball in his hands. He's their best playmaker outside of Darren McFadden. As far as WR4s go, he still can rank as one of the best.
