QB Peyton Manning, IND
<< Back to Profiles List
Peyton Manning enters the 2009 season as one of the top three fantasy football quarterbacks. Manning is one of the safest picks in all of fantasy football as he has not missed a game during his spectacular ten year career and is one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the league every year. Manning is almost a lock for at least 4000 passing yards and at least 25 touchdowns every season, making him a low risk quarterback in fantasy leagues. Manning has developed a great connection with Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark, and this should offset the loss of longtime teammate Marvin Harrison. Peyton Manning will be a late first or early second round pick in most fantasy drafts, so if you plan on drafting Manning, make sure you do it early.

FFToolbox.com - It is definitely a period of transition for the Colts. Between the changes (for now) on the coaching staff, questions on the o-line and the formal loss of Harrison without adding another key receiver, there are legit reasons some will be slightly cool towards their players this season. Yeah, o.k. Its Peyton "freakin" Manning we are talking about, who had 4,000 yards and 27 TDs in a "off" year. With a top fantasy RB and WR already in place, I'll take my chances. |

RapidDraft.com - No way am I letting Peyton get away here, especially in a league where I only have to start two receivers and no flex. About as safe a pick as one can find. |

eCouchCoach.com - I know there is a lot pointing against Manning with the coaching changes, and lineup changes. Everyone is talking about the absence of Harrison as well, but he was never a huge factor last year anyway. And with the controversy of the RB situation, I have a feeling this will lead to the team putting the ball more in the hands of their team leader. More passes from Manning means more points for me! |

FantasyFootballTrader.com - In Best-Ball, more than any other format - I believe it's important to stay well rounded positionally if you're near the turns. Get behind at any position and your hand could be forced to draft need instead of BPA. 1QB/1RB/1WR through three keeps all options available to me in rounds 4-8. |
