2009 Outlook: Stud (low risk)

After his unbelievable 2007 season, you knew it would be very hard for Moss to match those numbers; that got even harder after Tom Brady went down. Even with Brady down Moss was able to catch 68 passes and pass the 1000 yard mark (1008 yards) for the 9th time in his career, not to mention catching at least 10 touchdowns (11 touchdowns) for the 8th time his career. Also for the 9th time in 11 seasons Moss played in all 16 games, proving once again that he can be counted on. Moss has been consistently productive over his career and as long as Brady can stay healthy, there is no reason Moss won't put up top notch fantasy numbers. He is definitely worthy of being selected as one of the top 5 receivers.

Not much new to say about Moss other than his numbers should go up with the return of Tom Brady. Moss should be considered a top 3 fantasy receiver in all formats.

2009 Mock Draft Results

Month Position Franchise/Comments
May 2.02 FFToolbox.com - Tabbed RB in round one and not in love with the remaining options, so looking at WR or QB with this pick. So very tempting to grab one of the premier passers here, but should be able to get a top-8 choice next time. With three of the top wide outs already gone, I cannot pass on Moss here. I am a believer in the Pats this season and I think the Brady-to-Moss combo will again be the scariest in the league.
June 1.11 RapidDraft.com - I'll be happy with the average of his past two seasons.
July 1.05 ThunderingBlurb.com - The more of these I do, the less I like the mid-round RBs choices. I DO like Moss to put up very good numbers in a PPR format and would say he could make a nice arguement for the first WR off the board. With Fitz gone, he's definitely my choice here. It's a little easrly for me - but I am THAT concerned by most of the RBs here. There ie equivelent value - if not perhaps upside - in the second in my opinion.
