2009 Outlook: Quality Backup
Veteran tight end, Desmond Clark seems to be emerging as a target for Jay Cutler and a solid player on Chicago's offense. A few passes here and there in the preseason for yardage and a touch down are not bad. Despite the difficulty in predicting performance for the season from training games, Clark has the experience and ability to make plays. Cutler is a quarterback who makes plays and incorporates the guys who can help him get that job done. Clark may not be as young as Olsen, but between the two, they will make it difficult for teams to defend against tight end passing scenarios. Chicago may employ downs where both are on the field and either one could make a big play.
