2011 Outlook: Fantasy Handcuff

Back in March Tomlinson and the Jets agreed to a two-year contract. This move came as a bit of a surprise to me. I believe LT still feels as though he should be a number one back and that's just not going to happen in New York. The Jets already have Shonn Greene; based on his performance in the post season, there's little reason to believe he won't be the primary back this year. LaDainian had to know this before agreeing to come to New York. Even if the Jets employ a RBBC it is likely Greene will see the majority of the carries. At age 30 I guess that might not be a bad thing for Tomlinson. With fewer carries his body won't take as much of a beating and maybe this year he can play the entire season. From a fantasy perspective, I would stay away from LT unless you draft Greene (in which case Tomlinson is a must have).
