2009 Outlook: Over the Hill (decreased production)

After missing 10 games in 2007 with injuries, Todd Heap managed to stay active for all 16 games last season, but the Ravens used him more as a blocker than his traditional pass catching role and his numbers suffered. Heap caught 35 passes for 403 yards (his worst career numbers when playing a full season), scored three touchdowns and had only two games with more than 50 receiving yards. It is hard to see how those stats improve now that the Ravens have added former Eagles TE L.J. Smith to be the receiving threat and are expected to start first-round pick OT Michael Oher; meaning Heap as blocker will remain in vogue. Avoid the temptation to go with the one-time fantasy stalwart as anything more than a backup in the deepest of leagues.
