Drew Brees should be the second quarterback off fantasy draft boards this season, behind only Aaron Rodgers. The veteran quarterback threw for an NFL record 5476 yards last season, while adding 46 passing touchdowns. While Brees may not reach these numbers again this season, he is a fantasy stud and worthy of a first round pick in fantasy drafts. The former Super Bowl MVP has all the weapons necessary to remain a top three fantasy quarterback for the next few seasons. If you are targeting Drew Brees as your fantasy quarterback this season, be prepared to make him your first round pick.

In round 3 I am going to double up with Saints and know in the end that Mr. Brees and New Orleans will work it all out. 3rd round for a QB is usually way way early for me but the value forces my hand.
2012 Experts Mock Draft (July) July 16 - 27	3.03	FansFantasyFootball.com - So I took the RB that may be suspended last round and lookie here those QB's are still there. I have to go with what I preach and that is never take a QB in round 1, but if one of the top 3 are there in rounds 2 or 3 then grab them. I went slightly against that with a RB in round 2 but Brees in round 3 is too much to pass up. WR still deep and I will get RB depth later. I have Brees ahead of Cam so lets hope Mr. Moneybags earns his new found wealth.
