WR Chad Ochocinco, CIN
<< Back to Profiles List
Chad Ocho Cinco is coming off a horrendous season in which he caught only 53 passes for 540 yards and four touchdowns. Part of this reduced production can be linked to three missed games, while the rest was likely caused by inconsistent quarterback play. With Carson Palmer returning from injury, Ocho Cinco should be able to greatly improve upon his 2008 statistics. Ocho Cinco has spent much of the off-season complaining about his contract and demanding a trade, but once the season starts, he will be in the Bengals lineup. While Ocho Cinco's days as a top ten receiver may be gone, he is still a good candidate to finish in the top 20 fantasy wide receivers. Ocho Cinco should be a target for fantasy owners once the top 15 wide receivers are off the draft board.

FFToday.com - I was hoping Aaron Rodgers would fall to this pick but he went back at the 5.04. While that still left Kurt Warner and Tony Romo as options at QB, Iメm already invested in the Cards and Cowboys, have more confidence in Rodgers going into this season and prefer to pass on QB now to get my second WR, where pickings are getting a little slim. Based on the preliminary projections from Mike Krueger at FF Today, Antonio Bryant is ranked higher than Ochocinco (never going to get used to typing that name), but I feel Bryant should slip a little further and Ocho provides good value here given the talent/situation/potential if he can play nice with his coaches and teammates. Admittedly, a big "if"... |

KFFL.com - Last year we saw a fluky stats dropoff for 85; Ryan Fitzpatrick limited what the former Johnson could do. A healthy Carson Palmer should help Ocho approach 90 catches again. I like the fire my No. 2 wideout is showing in his trash-talk tweets. |

KFFL.com - He catches a lot of passes (averaged 92 from 2003 through 2007) and can rack up the yards (averaged 1,374 yards in the same time period). He was unhappy and injured for most of last year, but Ryan Fitzpatrick was also throwing to him for most of the season. With Carson Palmer back (and if Cedric Benson can give them any semblance of a rushing attack), I think we see another big season from 85. |

KFFL.com - Marvin Lewis is by no means the disciplinarian ochenta y cinco needs, but the p/t place kicker seems committed to me. If not, he'll be committed. |
