2009 Outlook: Sleeper (undervalued)

The Vikings need a capable quarterback to become legit Super Bowl contenders which is why they rolled the dice on 40 year old Brett Favre and his injured shoulder, Sage will be a backup and only should be sleected in the late rounds of 16 team or larger league. Rosenfels' new contract with the Vikings is a two-year, $9 million extension (a bargain to say the least). The 31 year old QB out of Iowa State needs to limit his mistakes (10 interception and four fumbles in five starts last season), but the aggressive passer is considered a strong fit for the West Coast offense. He is equipped with decent receiving options -- Bernard Berrian, Sidney Rice, rookie Percy Harvin and Visanthe Shiancoe -- and a strong running game with AP and Chester Taylor. He is a must have for all Favre owners if you have deep rosters otherwise he should remain on most waiver wires to start the season.
