2011 Outlook: Fantasy Handcuff

As a Jets fan I had an opportunity to see plenty of Thomas Jones in 2009; from what I saw, I have to say I think the Chiefs made a great move signing him. Jones carried the ball 331 times for 1402 yards and 14 touchdowns last season. Not only did he carry the bulk of the load for the Jets last season, but he was a leader on the field. Thomas will be 32 years old at the start of this season and we all know that running back performance tends to decline after the age of 30. Couple his age with his role as a change of pace back this season and Jones' performance this season won't provide much for fantasy owners. However, if you draft Charles then picking up Jones would be a great idea. Should something happen to Jamaal, Thomas will become the starting back and pick up where Jamaal leaves off.
