2010 Outlook: Bust (overvalued)

At what point does a team just cut bait and move on? Branch has been a huge disappointment -- and that's only during those rare times when he's actually on the field. He did manage to make it through 14 games last season, cobbling together a feeble 45 catches, 437 yards and two touchdowns. Those aren't the kind of numbers you expect from a player who has two years left on a $39 million contract. Branch had arthroscopic surgery on his knee this off-season and hasn't yet been in training camp. The Seahawks would do best to tell him not to bother returning. They've got enough talented, young (and cheap) receivers on the roster that they can easily replace Branch's meager production.
