QB Carson Palmer, CIN
<< Back to Profiles List
Coming off an injury riddled 2008 season, Carson Palmer is looking to come back strong in 2009. A serious elbow injury led to Carson Palmer's 2008 season being cut short after only four games. The Bengals never recovered from his injury and struggled for the entire season. Palmer was able to avoid Tommy John surgery this off-season and should be ready to start the season at 100 percent. The injury could lead to Palmer being undervalued in fantasy drafts; he will be a good value if he drops out of the top ten quarterbacks. A full training camp would be beneficial to Carson Palmer as it would give him more time to get comfortable with Laveranues Coles as well as reconnect with Chad "Ocho Cinco" and Chris Henry. Carson Palmer is a good quarterback to target because he will come significantly cheaper than the top level quarterbacks and could put up excellent numbers if he stays healthy.

FantasyFootballTrader.com - Mike (FFToday) just got scratched off the X-Mas card list. First Ronnie Brown, now Schaub. I'm not at all convinced about Carson's elbow or his offensive line. But you need to slide all the way down to Kyle Orton to find a receiving corp that isn't dwarfed by Carson's options. |

FantasyFootballTrader.com - Took him in the 7th round in the first mock and I'm back for more. Before 2008 Carson never failed to finish lower than QB 16 as a starter. Poor defense ensures garbage points |

CBSSports.com - This should be a nice bounce back year for Palmer. He's a Top 5 QB when healthy. |

FFToolbox.com - Some comparable choices at QB remain, but of those players, Palmer has the best chance to be throwing a lot in the second half. Combined with the resurgent vibe around Ochocinco and I think Palmer has a shot to crack the top-5 passers this year with a little luck. |
