WR Andre Johnson, HOU
<< Back to Profiles List
Johnson has been one of the league's premier receivers since coming into the league in 2003. If he can stay healthy this season there is little reason to believe he won't finish this season as one of the league's top 5 receivers. Last year Johnson finished 7 games with 10 or more receptions and more than 100 yards. Andre is one of the few receivers in the league defensive coordinators fear. Johnson adds more to the Texans' offense than any other player on the field. When Andre is on the field, teams have to double team him and even then he can make the defense look bad. If you have the chance to draft Johnson it's a no brainer.

FantasyFootballTrader.com - Ten RB's off board, leaving me the #1 WR in this format last year. Touchdowns can be flaky. Only Boldin had more red zone rec. and no WR had more red zone yards than A.J., yet 12 tied or bested his red zone TD's (5). As stellar as he was, there's actually room for improvement. |

TheHuddle.com - Gotta love a 100-catch guy in a PPR league. While there are a few RBs on the board I considered here, I'm confident that I'll like AJ and a back in R2 or R3 more than I would have liked one of those backs here and a significantly lesser WR down the road. |

TheHuddle.com - By this pick in round two all the elite WRs will be gone and there will still be RBs I like, so best to take that WR now. |
