2013 Outlook: Deep-league Only

The talk all summer was John Beck this and John Beck and Donovan McNabb going bye-bye. My take was that once free agent Rex Grossman was signed, he would challenge Beck, ultimately claim the job and be a rotational fantasy option in the right matchups... I'll wait while you stop laughing... go ahead, finish up... A low-end option for sure, but Grossman showed last season he can still move an offense and create scoring chances, though often for both teams. In four games -- three starts -- Grossman racked up 884 passing yards with seven touchdown passes. The eighth-year pro also tossed four picks, lost all four of his fumbles and frequently displayed uncertainty in the pocket. NFL-wise, Grossman won't help an NFL team wins games, but he will have 3-4 fantasy worthy starts along the way. That is, if he actually starts for the Redskins.
