TE Jason Witten, DAL
<< Back to Profiles List
The Cowboys' offense will be without Terrell Owens, but they still have Tony Romo's durable, chain moving, security blanket of a tight end - not to mention BFF - Jason Witten to lean on. The rugged Witten did not quite match his 2007 all-world numbers, but he came close with 81 receptions, 952 yards and four touchdowns and that was with the burden of Brad Johnson throwing him wounded ducks for several weeks. Witten will need the Cowboys wide outs to keep opposing defenses honest or he will face constant double coverage, though he and Romo surely will draw up secret plays to counter that prospect. With that one caveat in mind, the Pro Bowler and top tight end is set for another dominant fantasy campaign.

FantasyFootballTrader.com - Thought long and hard about a couple of RB's here that would look good paired with Lynch. But kept coming back to how filthy A.Johnson/C.Johnson/Witten trio will look. I think I can duct tape #2 RB numbers together later in the draft. |

FansFantasyFootball.com - Well CBS stole my RB 2 (sigh)...so I will change directions and go with the flow and grab Witten who figures to be the number one option all year long in Dallas...and Romo's favorite Target...will target some cheaper RB options now. Not a big fan of taking TE's this high but Witten is the exception in round 4. |
