TE Visanthe Shiancoe, MIN
<< Back to Profiles List
In 2008, Shiancoe posted career-highs with 42 catches for 596 yards (14.2 avg.) with seven touchdowns. His 2009 production could be even better with Sage Rosenfels at QB. Coach Childress attributed his dramatic improvement to a better work ethic and familiarity with the playbook. The 28 year old is a low end #1 TE and he has the talent to improve on his 2008 breakout season -- let's just hope he can keep his towel on when the cameras are running in the locker room.

TheHuddle.com - It's a little-known secret that Brett Favre might be coming back to play this yearï¾—and for the Vikings, no less! Since Favre has turned many of his previous tight ends into fantasy stalwarts I like the possibilities of Shiancoe, who was a top-five fantasy TE last year. |

TheHuddle.com - Big Shank was exposed last year as a viable fantasy contributor. Wait, that sounds dirty... |

ThunderingBlurb.com - Brett Favre does like him some TE's. waiting this long, I'll have to grab another upside type dude to shore the position up but Shaincoe could have some very good games with Old Man River behind center. Assuming the team doesn't implode. |
