2013 Outlook: Deep-league Only

Update (10/20): Winslow has been suspended for PED use. Jeff Cumberland will get the start the next few weeks and could be a value add for owners looking for TE support.

Update (9-11): Whoa, we had a Kellen Winslow sighting in Week 1, a significant one at that, enough to warrant mention in our Week 2 "Sleepers" article.

With the loss of Dustin Keller, the Jets look to fill the void with 9 year veteran Kellen Winslow. Last season Winslow was a member of the New England Patriots where he played in just one game catching one pass for 12 yards. A set of bad knees coupled with Gronk and Hernandez ahead of Winslow on the depth chart last season mean Winslow didn't see a lot of on the field time. This year that should all change if Kellen's knees can hold on. There is little in the way of offensive talent at the tight end position behind Winslow. At this point there's no reason to believe Winslow won't be the starting tight end. Just because Winslow will be starting doesn't mean you should be starting him on your fantasy team. After all, the Jets will be starting Mark Sanchez or Geno Smith under center and nobody believes the Jets' offense if going far this year with either of them.
