WR Wes Welker, NE
<< Back to Profiles List
Welker has been the model of consistency since arriving in New England in 2007. Welker is a valuable receiver in all fantasy leagues, but he is a stud in point per reception leagues. In his 2 seasons in New England he has 223 receptions for 2,340 yards and 11 touchdowns. While the touchdowns don't stand, the 223 receptions is the most in the NFL over that span. While having Brady back will obviously be a good thing for the Patriots' offense, Welker fantasy owners don't have much to worry about it because the way New England uses him, he should be good for 100 catches for 1,000 no matter who is under center. In point per reception leagues he is definitely a top 12 fantasy receivers; in all other leagues, I would drop him down a bit.

Same as Moss, his numbers should be great again with the return of Tom Brady. Welker is an elite receiver in point per reception leagues and one of the safest picks in the draft.

TheHuddle.com - There are multiple receiver options here, but in a PPR format Welker's triple-digit catches pushed him to the fore. |

FFLibrarian.com - FFSharks just made this decision very easy for me since I was debating between Bush and Welker. Welker is a reception machine and with Brady back and feeling good, I expect Welker to have another 100+ reception year. |

KFFL.com - Nothing like a No. 2 WR as my No. 1. Plenty of questions about the other WRs in this range. Only one with Welker: How's Tom Brady feelin'? Century mark in catches and a few more TDs this year. |
