TE Heath Miller, PIT
<< Back to Profiles List
Big Ben tossed 55 passes in the red zone and only 6 of those were directed to TE Heath Miller, with 3 passes resulting in touchdowns. Miller is a solid #2 TE who will total near 50 catches and top off at well below double-digit visits to the end zone. This year Miller enters the final year of his contract, which could motivate him to play hard for a new deal. However, another season comparable to his 2008 production (48 catches for 514 yards) is likely. He makes for a decent matchup play as he can exploit weak defenses (Cleveland and Cincy twice). He is a decent red zone target and could see his TD numbers increase to 6-8 this year. If you miss out on the top five TEs on draft day, you could do much worse than the Steelers' reliable 5th year tight end.

RapidDraft.com - I have no problem waiting a while if I don't get one of the top four tight ends, and the fact that I can get Heath Miller this late -- after some have drafted two -- only backs that up. |

FFLibrarian.com - Like most, I normally wouldn't grab a second TE but John Carlson isn't exactly a sure thing. So I'll go with Heath Miller who had a career best 48 receptions last year despite missing a few games. |
