QB Matt Leinart, ARI
<< Back to Profiles List
Kurt Warner is well...old. His hip has been a problem all throughout training camp, and despite at one point slipping behind Brian St. Pierre on the depth chart, Matt Leinart has played very well in the pre-season and regained his role as Warner's primary backup. Leinart has shown progress ever since being benched in favor of Warner, and if the worst happens to Warner, its hard to imagine a scenario in which Leinart doesn't succeed with the weapons that will be at his disposal. Leinart may be worth a late round flier, and is an excellent insurance policy for Kurt Warner.

FantasyFootballTrader.com - Sure to draw a few snickers with this one. But far more bizarre scenarios have played out than a former top 10 pick cashing in on a second chance after backing up a 38 year old incumbent. |

FFToolbox.com - Just when I talk myself into taking the Jets defense, they get swiped out from under, so instead I'll go down the backup QB route. I'm one of those who thinks Kurt Warner will not make it through the season standing upright and I like Leinart in this offense better than the other options available. Since my QB (Brady) has a late bye, I can take the risk. |
