2011 Outlook: Quality Backup

Joseph Addai should enter the 2010 season as the Colts' starting running back. At this point last season, Addai would have been a long shot to enter 2010 as the starter, but a strong 2009 season has given him another year as the starter. Addai will however have to split carries with second year running back Donald Brown. The Colts will probably stick to a plan similar to last season, which gave Addai 270 total touches. He would only be worth an every week starting spot if Brown were to go down with an injury. Fantasy owners should consider Addai a fringe RB 2, and likely backup for fantasy teams that start two running backs.
