2009 Outlook: Solid/Safe Pick

We all know that the third year in the league is when receivers break out. I guess someone should have told Bowe that two years ago. In his rookie season Dwayne had 70 receptions for 995 yards and 5 touchdowns. He followed up this remarkable season in 2008 with 86 receptions for 1022 yards and 7 touchdowns. If it takes two years for a receiver to break out in the NFL then watch out for Bowe this season. Dwayne could be one of the top 5 receivers in the league this season. It wouldn't surprise me to see Bowe finish the year with close to 100 receptions and 1400 yards this year. Bowe has great hands and the speed needed to separate from defenders. If you have a chance to select Bowe in the draft this fall don't hesitate to pull the trigger.

2009 Mock Draft Results

Month Position Franchise/Comments
May 3.04 KFFL.com
June 3.06 Rotoworld.com - A serious candidate to lead the NFL in receptions. The Chiefs will likely throw 550 times this season and Bowe should see at least 200 targets. He has league-winning potential in this PPR format.
July 3.06 FFToolbox.com - With the top thre QB's gone and solid depth left at RB, I go receiver in back-to-back rounds. Bowe should be a PPR machine playing in new head coach Todd Haley's volume passing attack.
Aug. 3.06 Rotoworld.com - Pick made based on Pre-Draft List
