WR Ted Ginn, MIA

2009 Outlook: Bye Week Fill-in
2009 will be Ted Ginn Jr.'s third season in the NFL and we all know this will be the season he breaks out or flops. In his first two years Ginn caught 90 balls for 1210 and 4 touchdowns. These are not the type of numbers NFL coaches and fantasy owners want to see from a team's number one receiver. For this reason Ted is going to have to step it up a notch this season. Ginn has to get open and make the key receptions for Miami this season. If he fails to step in and take this roll his career may well be done. Miami selected 3 wide receivers in their first 5 picks on the 2009 draft and each one of these guys will be fighting to take Ginn's job. Hopefully Ted sees the writing on the wall and posts great numbers this season. For fantasy owners the big drawback to Ginn is the lack of touchdowns. With just 2 touchdowns last season there was little to get excited about. This year he should get the ball more and hopefully more of his receptions will result in touchdowns.

FFLibrarian.com - So close to getting Norwood here - bummer. So instead I'll go with Ginn, love his potential. |

FantasySharks.com - Ginn has had a tremendous off season and has been terrorizing CB's in practice. He has nothing but upside heading into 2009. |

TheHuddle.com - Ginn is particularly effective in this format: his home run games count, and his whiffs will likely be offset by more consistent production from my other wideouts. |
