2011 Outlook:
Leonard Pope was a project that failed miserably; out of the shadows of the massive physical specimen that was Pope emerged Ben Patrick. Patrick signed a one year tender to remain with the Cards for his fourth season, and has a firm hold on the starting tight end job for Arizona. This past season Patrick caught 12 passes for 146 yards with two touchdowns.
The problem for fantasy owners is that Arizona has realized that they don't need to force the ball to the tight end, and have largely ignored Patrick in the passing game. Patrick is more of a run blocker, which benefits Wells and Hightower, but does nothing for fantasy owners. Patrick is a tight end who should not be on fantasy owner's radar during fantasy drafts for the 2010-11 season.
