2013 Outlook: Quality Backup

Ryan Grant played in just one game in 2010 before ending his season with an injury. The previous three years Grant was a top fantasy running back, culminating with an 11 touchdown, 1,253 yard effort during the regular season in 2009. Where he goes from here is anybody's guess. While Grant was gone Brandon Jackson filled in for the most part during the regular season. He performed admirably, but was not a huge difference maker. It was rookie James Starks who propelled the Packers through the playoffs and onto a Super Bowl victory. With Starks still in the picture, Grant will not likely carry the ball 282 times like he did in 2009 or 312 times like he did in 2008.
