RB Felix Jones, DAL
<< Back to Profiles List
Like a flirty bar conversation that gets you intrigued when the rug is suddenly pulled out from under way before last call, Jones teased fantasy nation with his explosive ability before injuries took the rookie runner out of action after only six games. By that time, the former Arkansas Razorback had hearts fluttering when he flashed his game-breaking speed, both as a kick returner and by averaging a whopping 8.9 yards per carry. He was starting to carve out a larger role in the offense before the injury and Jones could open the season as the starter with Marion Barber returning to his previous closer role. Still, the Cowboys would be wise not to overwork their perhaps fragile playmaker, with 15 touches per a game a safe yet productive goal. Therefore, Jones remains a part-time option behind Barber and in front of Tashard Choice, so game-to-game consistency could be an issue, especially early on. Jones is a good type of gamble for fantasy owners to target once the RB2's are off the board and he has an outside shot to be on that list by the time the Cowboys break camp.

TheHuddle.com - Upside from an RB3 certainly isn't a bad thing. |

FFLibrarian.com - I wanted to add another RB here and really like the potential I see in Felix Jones and the Dallas o-line (can't help but like a line who comes together to sign a recording contract in their spare time). |

FFToolbox.com - After my plans were dashed by another owner taking his second QB by round seven, I am back to best player available mode. Instead of taking an eh receiver like Evans or Ward to be my third or taking one of the remaining Tight End's, I'm going with the upside play. Felix will make for great trade bait sooner or later. |

TheHuddle.com - Worst case, I've hedged my bets with Barber; best case, this backfield mimics the Titans and Panthers as one producing two fantasy-worthy starters. That'd work for me, every week except Week 6. |
