2009 Outlook: Quality Backup
Dustin was the Jets' first round draft selection in 2008. When the announcement was made, Jets fans once again were left reeling in agony. Luckily for Keller, the Jets picked up Brett Favre and the media focused on Brett instead of himself. As the season played out we saw Keller put together a few good games, but more often than not Dustin didn't get the ball enough to make a fantasy impact. This season we should expect the same from Keller. The Jets will likely need Dustin to stay in and help block, so he won't have a lot of opportunities. If you're in a league which requires two tight ends, then Keller is someone you should consider. Otherwise, until the Jets prove they'll use him as an offensive weapon, I'd stay away from Dustin.

TheHuddle.com - Waited a long time to get a tight end, primarily because I thought there would still be value. Keller has plenty of upside in an offense that lost Laveranues Coles and will have a young QB at the helm. |

KFFL.com - If Mark Sanchez hangs on to the starting job, Keller could be used as a crutch for the rook. Jerricho Cotchery is the only other stable receiving option there, and the freakishly athletic Keller proved his worth (especially in the red zone) with Brett Favre slinging the rock last year. |

CBSSports.com - Keller played well as a rookie and should become Mark Sanchez's best friend. He might be the best receiver on the Jets roster right now, including Cotchery. |
