Colts' Peyton Manning taking 'cautious' approach to workouts

You've been hearing a lot about NFL players taking part in self-organized workouts with teammates during this lockout. One name you haven't heard participating is Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning. Neck surgery and the lockout rules have kept him doing as little as possible. "The lockout didn't allow me to work my (Colts) therapist, Erin Barill, and I'm just not comfortable taking any chances with this thing," Manning said. "Erin knows me. He's rehabbed me through two other surgeries, and I think most people understand that once you build up a trust with your therapist, that's the guy you want and need to work with." Manning has been rehabbing with other therapists, but he said wants to get an assessment from Barill before he does anything too strenuous. Manning's most recent neck surgery, which was performed May 23, corrected some disk problems. He underwent a previous unrelated procedure in March 2010 to erase a calcium buildup in his neck. He isn't expected to miss any regular-season games, but training camp could be a different story.

Fantasy Analysis:

In the end, are you really worried about Peyton Manning? His neck should heal in plenty of time for the season, and even with no practice, he's still a top-5 fantasy QB. This current lockout should end in time for him to get plenty of time with his favorite therapist. This news changes nothing.
