Lockout is over, owners and players reach agreement

The 130-day lockout is over. Although the NFL Players Association still requires a formal vote, it is considered a mere formality as the NFLPA and owners have reached an agreement on a 10-year labor deal. The NFLPA is planning on a press conference on Monday but the 32 player representatives must first fly to Washington D.C. so they can vote. After the deal is ratified, training camps and free agency will begin promptly that same day. Once the NFLPA is officially recertified, free agency will begin. Players under contract can meet with teams two days after the player committee accepts the new collective bargaining agreement.
