Steelers cut WR Antwaan Randle El

The Pittsburgh Steelers have released wide receiver Antwaan Randle El. It's certainly not a shock since the Steelers have younger wide receivers such as Emmanuel Sanders @E_Sanders88 and Antonio Brown @AntonioBrown84 on the roster. Randle El, who will turn 32 in August, produced career lows in 2010 with 22 catches and 253 yards. This move will save the Steelers $2 million.

Fantasy Analysis:

Randle El hasn't really ever been a fantasy factor. He has never caught more than 53 passes or gained more than 800 receiving yards in a single season. His high-water mark in touchdowns in a season is four. But as a converted college quarterback, he's made a pretty nice career for himself. I'm not sure where Randle El goes next. But considering his age and his recent production, I guess Washington appears to be a good destination. I mean, contrary to what I wrote on here yesterday, Brandon Stokley did not sign with them, so someone's gotta fill that void. Cheap shots -- that's what I'm all about.
