Steelers cut WR Antwaan Randle El
The Pittsburgh Steelers have released wide receiver Antwaan Randle El. It's certainly not a shock since the Steelers have younger wide receivers such as Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown
on the roster. Randle El, who will turn 32 in August, produced career lows in 2010 with 22 catches and 253 yards. This move will save the Steelers $2 million.
Fantasy Analysis:
Randle El hasn't really ever been a fantasy factor. He has never caught more than 53 passes or gained more than 800 receiving yards in a single season. His high-water mark in touchdowns in a season is four. But as a converted college quarterback, he's made a pretty nice career for himself. I'm not sure where Randle El goes next. But considering his age and his recent production, I guess Washington appears to be a good destination. I mean, contrary to what I wrote on here yesterday, Brandon Stokley did not sign with them, so someone's gotta fill that void. Cheap shots -- that's what I'm all about.
