TE Aaron Hernandez returns to practice

New England Patriots second-year tight end Aaron Hernandez @AaronHernandez returned to camp after spending two days on the physically unable to perform list. Hernandez underwent offseason hip surgery and the team wanted him to take his time during recovery. "They [Patriots' medical staff] were taking it slow, making sure I was healthy because of the lockout." Hernandez said.

Fantasy Analysis:

Between Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski @RobGronkowski, the Patriots have a matchup nightmare in the red zone. This was evident last season as it seemed each player would alternate having big weeks. Hernandez finished 2010 with 45 receptions, 563 yards and six scores while Gronkowski put up 42/546/10. The Patriots love to spread the ball around and by adding Chad Ochocinco, they're likely to have five players with at least 40 receptions. Hernandez isn't a great fantasy play but if he gets more targets, he's a sneaky deep league option.
