QB Rex Grossman is with Redskins for another season
As expected, quarterback Rex Grossman agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Washington Redskins on Tuesday night. That means the Grossman-John Beck QB duel can officially get underway. In five games with the Redskins last season, Grossman threw for 884 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions. He completed 55.6 percent of his passes.
Fantasy Analysis:
For months, it seemed as if the starting job was going to Beck, no questions asked. It was reported that he was the apple of Mike Shanahan's eye and would have to choke in camp to not be the team's week-one starter versus the Giants. But as we've learned in recent days, that's not the case. Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said last week that Grossman will have just as good of an opportunity as Beck to win the job. Kyle's father, Mike, reiterated that sentiment today. The nation surely waits for an ultimate decision with bated breath. Fantasy prospects? No.
