Report: 'Mounting concern' that Chargers WR Vincent Jackson won't play
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson
has fought through multiple aches and pains this season without missing a game. But is this the week where his body finally forces him to sit one out? According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, there is "mounting concern" that Jackson won't be able to play against the Detroit Lions because his injured groin hasn't responded to treatment as well as the team had hoped. Jackson is officially listed as questionable.
Fantasy Analysis:
This is bad news for Philip Rivers in an advantageous matchup. If Jackson's active -- you'll have to wait until about 3 p.m. Eastern to find out -- I think you have to play him. But expect Malcom Floyd to be more involved. Antonio Gates should be fine, regardless. And if Jackson is out, Vincent Brown
, who has made some memorable catches this year, would see more playing time and becomes a decent flex option if you're really desperate.
