Redskins RB Roy Helu listed as questionable
Over the past few weeks, Washington Redskins running back Roy Helu
has forced Mike Shanahan's hand. He's played too well for Shanahan to pull off his version of a shell game with his runners. But now, Shanahan might have a reason to drive fantasy owners crazy once again. Helu is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Knee and toe ailments affected him last week and while Helu said on Thursday that he feels "a lot better," rookie Evan Royster
and Ryan Torain
are available.
Fantasy Analysis:
While the Vikings have a putrid pass defense, they have been OK against running backs. It's not a fantastic matchup for Helu, and after Shanahan expressed regret over how often Helu got the ball versus the Giants in week 15, he could very well be scaled back on Saturday. Royster could see 10 touches. Torain might get in the game. I don't know, no one knows with Shanahan. All we do know is that Helu is definitely operating at less than 100 percent and has just an average matchup. I would deploy him only as a flex. For the sake of comparison, I would start Kahlil Bell over him.
