Whole bunch of Giants skill players miss Wednesday's practice

At this point, the New York Giants expect their offense to be at or close to full strength for Sunday night's win-and-you're-in showdown versus the Dallas Cowboys. But for today, running back Ahmad Bradshaw @AhmadBradshaw, wide receivers Mario Manningham @ManninghamNYG and Hakeem Nicks, and tight end Jake Ballard @TheJakeBallard missed all or some practice. Bradshaw is getting standard rest for his feet. Nicks is nursing the dreaded hamstring strain and didn't practice, but head coach Tom Coughlin said that he is still expected to play this weekend. Coughlin is "optimistic" that Manningham will be out there as well after missing Sunday's win over the Jets because of his knee injury. He was limited in Wednesday practice. Lastly, Couglin said Ballard is "improving" but didn't express as much confidence about his playing status. Ballard, who injured his knee in week 15, appears to be a game-time decision at best for week 17.

Fantasy Analysis:

Nicks is the guy I'm worried about the most here. Bradshaw's going to play. Ballard probably isn't. Manningham? At this point, who cares? You're not starting him in week 17 anyway. Nicks is the guy to watch because of those two words -- hamstring strain. He has a nice matchup this week against the Cowboys, but hamstrings have been dooming players across the NFL all season long and seemingly take forever to go away completely. Hopefully he can practice Thursday.
