Texans WR Andre Johnson says he'll play 'a little bit'
Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson
made it through the practice week without suffering a setback with his left hamstring injury, so he's all set to be active Sunday versus the Tennessee Titans. How much will he play? Johnson was vague about that issue when asked Friday.
"It was all depending on how the week went and everything went fine this past week, so I'll be able to go out and play a little bit on Sunday," Johnson said. "... I just want to get back in the flow of playing a game. It's been a while since I've played. I just want to get back to the game feeling."
Fantasy Analysis:
Early in the week, we heard that the Texans wanted to give Johnson 15-20 snaps. Later in the week, there were reports they wanted to have him on the field for 30-40 snaps. If the latter is indeed the case, he's worth a spot as a WR3 in a 12-team league this weekend. But no one knows for sure, so Andre does carry some definite risk. I will say this: I bet that when Andre is on the field, T.J. Yates -- or whoever is at quarterback for the Texans -- will be targeting him frequently.
