Steelers WR Hines Ward not ready to retire yet

Thirty-seven-year-old Derrick Mason announced the end of his NFL career on Monday, but 35-year-old Hines Ward @mvp86hinesward isn't ready to follow suit. Although he's coming off a 2011 season that saw him post just 46 catches, 381 yards and two touchdowns -- his lowest totals since his 1998 rookie year -- Ward currently plans to plan in 2012.
"I have no plans on retiring right now," Ward wrote on his Facebook page on Monday. "I want to win another Superbowl. I don't know where the media is getting this info from but rest assured that when I decide to retire, you'll hear it from ME first."

Fantasy Analysis:

As Antonio Brown began breaking out, Ward took a back seat in the Steelers' passing game. He didn't gain more than 40 yards in any game after week six. He's on empty and is purely a reserve WR at his age. Considering that he's owed a bonus this March and is scheduled to make $4 million in 2012, Ward might be forced to continue his career outside of Pittsburgh. He has zero fantasy value.
