Maybe my expectations were bloated.
We're about an hour into the time when trades and rookie signings can be made in the NFL. I thought by now there would be some interesting fantasy story breaking. Alas, we are off to a slow start. Here's probably the most intriguing fantasy nugget of the first hour: The Washington Redskins will re-sign free agent quarterback Rex Grossman. How do we know? Because John Beck said so.
"They are going to re-sign REX definitely (sic). They've told me that!" That's what Beck said to Chris Russell of ESPN Radio 980 via Twitter. Right now, Beck and Grossman sit 1-2 on the Redskins' QB depth chart. Donovan McNabb will likely be cut when possible.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Redskins certainly need an upgrade at quarterback, but apparently Shanahan likes what he already has in the cupboard. Still, it's hard for me to believe that the 'Skins will ignore any of the QBs who will be out there this week -- Vince Young, Marc Bulger, etc. Unfortunately, none of this is promising news for any Redskins wide receiver.
