Donte' Stallworth signs one-year deal with Redskins
Wide receiver Donte' Stallworth has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins on a one-year deal. The Redskins were attempting to make a play for Santonio Holmes, but it looks like he will return to the Jets. Because of that, the Skins needed to add some depth behind the recently re-signed Santana Moss
and Anthony Armstrong
. Stallworth struggled with injuries last year and only played in eight games last year. The season before that, he was suspended the entire year.
Fantasy Analysis:
Stallworth hasn't been fantasy relevant since 2005 when he had a career-best year with 70 receptions for 945 yards and seven touchdowns. That was a long time ago and given his place on the Redskins depth chart, don't expect him to do much this year either. He's now 30 years old and hasn't even scored a touchdown since 2008. In an offense led by John Beck, it's hard to know what to expect but expectations should definitely be very low. The Redskins also drafted Leonard Hankerson out of Miami so Stallworth is a WR4 at best in this offense.
