WR Lance Moore says he's coming back to Saints
Why do we even have "insiders" to feed us sports news when the players can make it easy and just do it themselves? New Orleans Saints wide receiver Lance Moore did so on Wednesday, announcing his new five-year contract with the team on Twitter. "Welp, its been real new orleans........But let's make the next five years even more real. I'm coming back baby!!! #whodat," Moore wrote.
Moore broke out in 2008 with 928 yards and 10 touchdowns. After an injury-plagued 2009, he returned closer to form last season with 66 catches for 763 yards and eight touchdowns.
Fantasy Analysis:
Drew Brees spreads the ball around to so many targets that it's hard to depend on any Saints receiver not named Colston -- and even he's become riskier.
Moore topped 80 yards just once in 2010. But he does have plenty of value in point-per-reception leagues and seems to be a favorite around the goal line. He's a fine reserve in standard leagues.
Moore will be the first of New Orleans' 26 free agents to re-sign with the team.
